Diagram of blend door actuator and of all connections to actuator

why? what is the job, "diagnosis, put back one missing:"/? what? Connie, only one book shows that ,its called the FSM the factory service manual, and is online at ford (sold) and shown on alldata.com log in and read it. please post the job< we can;t help much with out that and can not post all 50 pages in the HVAC chapter here. diagnosis takes these facts: there are 3 kinds. on all car,s some mix up all 3kinds. cable (cave man simple) you pull handle, and cable moves and door opens (DAMPER BLEND OR WHATEVER) VACUUM SYStems, you move the knob, vacuum is gated tot he hose the hose goes to the damper servo and it moves and again the door opens. last is damper motors. these are vary hard to test, because no 2 are the same. each year uses different motors and the tests are unique., on my car, the only what to test them is with a factory scan tool. on my other car, the FSM shows how to hot wire the motors to test them, so back to square one,, the FSm. alldata.com google it, its #1 , $15 helm $10 http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp?Make=FRD&Model=TAUR&Year=2005&Category=37&class_2=FRD&mk=Ford&yr=2005&md=Taurus&dt=Online+Service+Information+%28OSI%29&module=&from=result&Style=helm&Sku=FCS2005TSWEBD&itemtype=N there is never a reason to guess, the books are all online just login and read.

Where is IAC system on my ford Taurus

The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve will be a solenoid mounted on the side of the throttle body. The throttle body is the butterfly valve that your throttle cable goes to. Air goes through the throttle body from your air filter.

How do I replace a outside minor on a 2005 ford Taurue

There are three bolts that hold it on. PLus the wiring. The triangle above the door panel pops loose, behind the mirror bracket. Be careful, it has a tab that goes down behind the door panel. Pop it loose, you can pull it down far enough to access the 10mm nuts.

With heat turned off engine runs ok with heat turned on engine rpms are erratic

If defrost is on that means AC cycles to remove humidity. Does this also occur when ac is running set at very near outside temp so it cycles? Could be the throttle positioning sensor (TPS) acting up.

What could be wrong when the a/c works fine then blows hot and temp gauge runs hot and see steam from engine?

Hello friend. Steam from engine is usually blown head gasket or hairline fracture of piston liner letting water go where it should not and causing boiling of the water.. This will give similar problems. The piston liner problem got me going once , Absolutly fine when engine idling for HOURS but when put under load and driven , the Temp FLEW up and steam came out,. Needs a workshop or good DIY Mechanic to take a look.at the engine. Probably nothing to do with AirCon.

Ac blows cold air..then will blow vent temp air for 5-10 min...then back to cold air...about every 5-6 days or so. Had ac check...1# coolant added??no leaks per black light??? Air is cold when works.

The system needs to be evacuated with a vacuum pump before it is recharged. Otherwise moisture may be in the system which will displace and contaminate the refrigerant. Get it evacuated, the orfice filter replaced then recharge. Should be fine..

Cruise control problems

Possibly a bad speed sensor (most likely). If your Taurus has a trip computer, and the trip computer is not operating properly, it is definitely the speed sensor.
