check all fuses under the hood ! Dont just look @ them , take them out one by one make sure they are clean and silver on the prongs of the fuse , sometimes they lose contact over the years ! there are also fuse panel under DASH next to steering colum above brake pedal have to look for it . 'Check' the ground wire thats coming off the ground post of the battery going over to the body of the car, take the screw out of that end of the wire and clean it and clean the metal before you put the screw back in it (COULD BE A BAD GROUND ) if you think it might be USE your jumper cables and hook all four clamps to grounds (Gound Post of battery,to Body of car, from body of car back to motor, from motor down to the frame !make sure all four clamps are making contact ! (DO NOT HOOK ANY CABLE TO THE POSITIVE POST ON YOUR BATTERY ) you are checking for grounds only ~ Danny !
Hard shift from first to second 2005 ford tauras
put a jack under tha trans. and jack it up (JUST COUPLE INCHES ) see if the Transmission mount behind drivers tire is broken, if so it will raise up and come apart , NEXT ! Raise the hood "hold the brake and watch the motor through the windshield or stand up with one foot on the ground "Watch the motor see if it looks as if it motor is raising up and down if so you have a broken mount somewhere ! But if not you will need to change the shift solenoid thats inside the trans pan thats located behind drivers side front wheel order one from E-BAY for low cost, buy all three and change them while you have it apart ! Misfire in number 3 and number 4 cylinders
Misfire is not always from coil. It could be from spark pug wire and injector. Solution:-Test the injector at the misfire cylinder. Is it within specification...?No.>>> The injector is bad. Replace new one.Yes. the injectors are good and within its specification.-Check the plug wire. it might be broken and spark to ground or too much resistant. If so replace it.Mai Lor
