No power to dash,no gauges
Run around from who ?Have you checked the three fuses under the speedometer for power ?The instrument cluster gets power from F2-22, F2-32, and F2-33.F2-32 is a 10amp fuse, the others are 15amp.
The gauge lights and rear running lights tag light are not working
Did they go out together? or did you notice the gauge lights and possibly your tag light has been out? In any case start with the tag light, check your bulbs then using a test light( to make sure i always have ground i use a jumper wire connecting to the battery directly to test light) check for power at the middle of receptacle. when checking for power connect jumper to ground then test light or try to find a good ground somewhere in the rear. if no power check the wire behind the receptacle. I don't think they run of the same circuit but to be safe check for blown fuses first!
Driver's window goes up but not up.
I'm guessing the window goes down but not up?
You will need to access the back of the window switch to start. Then with a test lig check for power on the tan with lt. Blue and the white with black wire with the switch in the up position. If there is power on both of those wires the switch is bad. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Driver's window goes down but not up.
Chances are you have a bad window switch. Is it a rear or passenger window? If it is and it does not work from that door's switch it is probably the master switch in the drivers door panel. If it's the drivers door it's still gonna be in the master switch. The window motors rarely only work in one direction only. It is also possible to be the up relay.
2005 taurus wont go into park
teh difference in neutral and park is the ratcheted gear that keeps the car from rolling in park. Check the lock gear on the tranny to make sure it engages and the car does not move. I think there is a connection to hte break pedal too to keep from going into park inadvertently without being stopped nad break pedal pushed. Look at those to prerequisits foror a clue...
Engine Code PO 300 and PO 316 came up when running diagnostic
P0300 is random multiple cylinder misfire and P0316 is misfires detected on start up. This is an ignition related issue. I would check the ignition system and tune up condition and proceed from there also if you have access to a sanner with live data capability check that you have and RPM reading when cranking the engine and the times it deosnt want to start this would indicate an issue with the crank sensor
2005 Ford Taurus low idle
Replace the idle valve with a factory one and remove the negative battery negative cable for 5 minutes to reset the idle control system to base line settings.
