something to do with a cam/crank sensor --either one or both are failing or a wiring / harness problem which can leave you stranded the sensors are not expensive if you remember the code you can look it up on line and find the explanation and how to change them
I have a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT. Having no previos
If it cranks good but won't start, Have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check fuel injector pulse. Check for applicable trouble codes. You need an obd2 code reader to check codes, yourself. Hopefully the code reader will check manufacturer specific codes as well as po codes.
At the ignition coil and fuel injectors, dark green wire with orange tracer should be hot with engine cranking, use a test light to check voltage. If no voltage, that leads back to asd relay. I'm not saying the relay is faulty. The computer has to see both the cam and crank sensor signals before it will ground the asd relay, if either one of those sensors is faulty, the vehicle won't start. Just my opinion.

Scan for fault codes to give indication of fault, re-check valve timing
What is a fuel pump telay
I think you mean relay, a relay is a device that is closed by a magnetic switch and that allows current to flow through the relay contacts to the device it powers. Think of it as a remotely operated on/off switch.
Just changed the water pump on a 2005 dodge neon and now it wont start. What could it be
You're not giving much to go on. Is it a 2.0L or a 2.4L?
You say it won't start. Does it turn over and not fire, or does it just sit there and do nothing when you turn the key?
Both engines require you to remove the timing belt in order to change the water pump. The 2.0L is definitely an interference engine, and I'm not sure about the 2.4L. But if the timing belt was not re-installed properly, it will result in a no-start condition since the valves will not be in sync with the pistons and spark. Best case scenario you correct the issue and are good to go. Worst case scenario is that if the belt is out too far, you bent valves and have to service the head(s).
Where is the idle adjustment screw
There is no idle adjustment available. The throttle is controlled electronically. Idle speed is controlled by a air flow valve that acts as a by pass to the throttle plate.
Dodge Neon low oil pressure
Hi John, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.
John, Low oil pressure can be many things. BUT, first you need to hook up an oil pressure gauge just to make sure its not the oil pressure sensor. If you have already put a new sensor on and it still has low oil pressure then you still need to check pressure with a gauge to make sure its not in the wiring or connector. If you find good oil pressure with the gauge then it need to be check to see why the pressure is low. It could be oil pump OR bearing issue. Engine cranks but doesn't start
Hi Donald, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.
Donald, sense you have a burning smell and a starting and running issue, I would start by checking all the wiring and connectors to see if they are burnt OR may have fell onto the exhaust somewhere and melted the wiring. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website here:

Water dripping from exhaust?
depends how much , when and for how long
All cars produce water from the exhaust on start up on cold mornings as it is water vapor and should be gone when the engine reaches operating temperature
My 2005 dodge neon jerks when i accelerate from a full stop.
Hello,
There are a few different problem areas in your vehicle that come to mind as I was reading your complaint. I will go over the wire diagram for this neon and see exactly what we could be dealing with. Most importantly, I see your check engine light is coming on. If you can scan it while its on and get the codes I will be able to tell you pretty much exactly what is causing this jerking issue. Hopefully its a simple fix, could be under the hood, mechanical or electrical. Ive seen these pcm's fail in the past also. Advanced auto or autozone typically scans codes for free. Please Advise
