Sorry, my US database doesn't list a 6 cylinder for this vehicle. If it's a 4 cylinder, now were talking. If I understand you correctly, maybe the fuel injector is faulty? I don't know what kind of testing you have done?

Have you checked the pick-up coil on the distributor? If that's corroded or worn, engine won't fire. It may not be connecting fully, causing low voltage to the plugs, or a no-fire. Also, check cap and rotor or EFI controls FIRST. If there's any sign of corrosion, replace. Also check for loose/disconnected wires in this area.

Yes this is what happens when you disconnect the battery while engine is running. The alternator keeps power going to all components as well as charging battery, this is alternating current or AC. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Have you put each cylinder at top dead center on compression stroke & done a cylinder leak down test BEFORE ever starting the motor,& is the timing belt still on & timed correctly? Compression is relative to many things & not much use these days,you got it or you don't

sounds like ground wire is loose. most ground wires for guages are found under dash usualy black in color and are attatched at various points under the dash to the the dash support frame.

It may not be getting enough gas. Maybe the gas filter is dirty and slowing the flow of fuel down at higher RPMs.

Good luck with that. Chrysler products in 2005 have 100s of fuses, some not very reachable, for instance under the dashboard but behind the steering column. NO idea why they did this other than make-work for their mechanics. Probably the dealer will have a diagram for their mechanics use ONLY. They're also a type of fuse it's very difficult to tell if it's blown by simply looking at it, and they also come unseated easily, hanging upside down under the dash with just two small pins holding them, one at each end. We've had strange things happen with our Jeep, which is designed this way.

run the fault codes to check cam/crank position sensor. Check that the cam shaft is turning (broken timing belt /chain) check immobiliser operation

The boot lid gasket may not be sealing correctly or worse, the rear window may have a leak and allowing water straight into the boot. Remove the carpet etc and any drain plugs from your boot floor until its fixed otherwise, you will end up with a rust problem if it doesn't drain and dry out.

The Neon don't have fuel gauge port. And is expensive to buy the right adapter. Your mechanic will have the right adapter. Disconnect the supply line and connect adapter . Turn ignition ON and check for leack. You need 58psi.pressure Good luck

Termostat could be stuck close,check coolant level.

all the neon I have seen have way to small battery cables and ground wires. We had this issue with our neon. Replace both ground to engine block and battery to starter cables , and terminal ends with heavy duty ones . and add a heavy duty ground cable from battery to body. this will permit the charging / starting systems to work with greater efficiency.

I post this as a serious answer.... As simple as this might sound, but are you using a spare key in the ignition that's not chipped, by chance?? This sounds like what the car will do if you attempt to use a key without the security chip (I know bc I had to try it one time to see what it would do.). But, if you are, and if you've tried more than such a number of times, it will lock out the computer and the dealer will have to reprogram it for you. Otherwise, if it's a mechanical problem, good luck, I'm not sure what that may be, offhand.

different transmissions use different oils so check out what your transmission uses specifically. It all has to do with the reaction of the oils with the electronic components in the oil. The amount you will get from the shop specifying the oil type.
