The springs are bad. Shocks will not correct worn out springs.

Sounds like an emission problem. Take it to your local parts store (AutoZone. Advance, Oreilly's). They usually connect the scan tool and check for free.

try applying some WD-40 or light penetrating oil to see if it improves but it the rollers move then there is a chance that something has broken

possible problem can be the door check .It is located between the two door hinges. I have repaired a few doors by replacing the door check. I would closely inspect it .

check for bulbs out, has a flasher/module test before replacing

After months of looking I found a shop who was willing to make me some brass gears. I put the brass gear in both my 2002 Park Ave seats. They work great. I sell them for 100 apiece. [email protected]

Roger, I went to several gear manufacturers here in the Seattle area and all thought they could look in their catalogs and find the gear. None of them did. Finally a small gear company owner took on the challenge and did find a hobb that worked. The gears are a little deeper but the same distance apart and they work great. He won't tell me the size of the hobb, but if you take your stripped gears to a gear manufacturer they might make one for you. I had to pay a steep price to have it set up. I am a little past even now that I have sold a few of these. I had them made out of brass so they won't gall on the steel worm gear. Good luck.

If you go to the motorcraft web site & look at blend doorparts for yours,you can bring up a diagramYou will see there are several doors vacuum or electricmotors whatever you have.You have to get the failed one as I guess you knowThe motorcraft parts are avail cheaper on line than at a dealer with a shop discount

maybe start with the fuel filter or pump. possible screen collapsed or plugged.

might be the cable snap

push the fuel door button,if you hear the door trying to open,[or close]the cable shaft is not free. In the trunk,just behind the cap door,you will find it,spray it with a good lub. you can move this shaft withyour fingers.
