If you still have the original fuel pump and sender, you're looking at a bad sender. As it's in the gas tank attached to the fuel pump, it's best to replace both at the same time, as they typically are sold as an assembly. The pumps are good for about 100,000-150,000 mi, the senders are good (on the original) are good for about 80,000 before they start giving problems. Bottom line, your sender needs replaced, whether you do it with or without the fuel pump.

there is a transmission fluid cooler built into the radiator of your truck, which means there are steel lines that run from the side of your transmission up to the radiator, on the passenger side of the truck. the lines are a common leak point due to corrosion. depending on where the leak is, the lines can sometimes be patched, but they sometimes need to be replaced (or fabricated). good luck!

only one horn sounds when you hit the button. the other horn is for the alarm and door locks etc. im not sure which is which, but have someone push the horn button while checking for power and ground at the harness connector. if power and ground are there, replace the horn. for your own sanity, buy an original equipment horn that just plugs right in, a universal aftermarket requires you to frankenstein your wiring. good luck!

Remove the fuse to your radio or disconnect the battery for 1 min, once reconnected. This should reset the radio again, if it does not reset the radio. Your going to have get your radio re-booted at the dealer if it's a soft wear issue and if it's a mechanical issue. The Tech2 scanner will indicate that when trying to re boot the radio.
Thank you for using fixya.

I had this problem on my 97 and I had to stick my hands through the grill and pull the latch manually. YOu can try taking pliers and pulling on the cable from inside the truck too. Thats what I did on mine after I noticed the cable dangling there.

You can not just replace the cable, the whole window regulator has to be replaced.

The best thing to do is use a factory wire adapter. The main wires you need to worry about are power, battery memory, ground and speaker wires. If you have a power antenna you will need to wire in the remote (normally blue or light blue). The only other wire should be an orange wire for the dimmer on the radio face. This one is not necessary for normal operation. Make sure you have the main 11 wires wired in. Ignition, battery, ground and the 8 speaker wires.

Its probably the wrong one. In other words perhaps it needs a #10 and you keep putting a #5.

If the laser lens gets dirty, your unit will not recognize CD's. Try a CD cleaning disc. As a last resort, remove the unit, open it up and gently clean the laser lens with a cotton swab and alcohol.

My 2001 did the same thing. All I could figure is a short somewhere or a stuck switch. I just pulled the fuse, but now I don't have ABS brakes anymore! And its fine...just like the old days. Good luck

you may need to get the fuel pump tested for proper voltage and pressure

The err is short for error. If the cd player accepts a cd and can't read it can cause err to display. The cd also can be scratched or the lens may be dirty or damaged. If you buy a cleaner cd and it doesn't work then its time to replace the radio preferrably an aftermarket because the factory type can cost up to $500 or more.

You can either search it out, or create a new one. Locate the ground wire going to the headlight. You can either cut it and tape it off, or run a new wire into it, and ground it to the body.
