Even with the A/C on, hot air continues to come out of the vents as if the temp guage was turn up as hot as it will get. Couldn't find any blown fuses. Is there a separate thermostat, other than the engine? Could the knob be stuck?

I would look at the air blend doors first, it sound like they are not working or your control in the dash is not working send a signal to them. they work by changing the air from hot to cold or in between.

chevrolet silverado 2004 airbag sensors reset
Posted by luis luis on
The airbag in your vehicle is an important safety device, and the airbag
module ensures the proper functioning of your vehicle's air bag. If
this module is not functioning properly, your airbag may not deploy
during a crash. When there is a malfunction, your airbag module warning
light will illuminate on your vehicle's dash. You will need to have the
airbag assembly checked out by a qualified mechanic, but once that is
done, you can reset the warning light and airbag module unit. If you've
never done this type of job before, it should only take you 5 minutes.

i changed my blend door actuatior on 01 silverado ,works but turn to cold blows hot !turn to hot blows cold!!! pulled fuse tried reset.??????

most likely needs a LH (bottom) temp actuator. Located in the center of the dash on the bottom, you have to remove the hush panel on the rh side of the truck

Does anyone know how to bleed the brakes on a 2001 sivlerado i have worked on brakes before but i am having difficulty bleeding this truck do i have to bleed the abs junction box under the truck?
Posted by tonyvitell... on
When bleeding brakes after the system has been opened for service (you didn't say if you were doing any work on the master cylinder) you should start with the farthest wheel away from the master cylinder, which is the righ rear. Fill the master cylinder, then have an assitant "pump up" the brake pedal. Tell them to hold it down firmly, then open the bleeder on the wheel cylinder(s). Do not release the brake pedal until you have closed the bleeder valve again. You'll know when the air is out - there won't be any more bubbles. Since this vehicle is 2001, this would be a great opportunity to flush the system. Just make sure you have enough brake fluid (DOT 3 or 4, depending on your vehicle). Good luck!

My ABS light on my 2001 Chevrolet Silverado comes on periodically, what does that mean?
Posted by martinez... on
WHEN ABS LIGHT COME THAT MEANS YOUR ABS BRAKE SYSTEM NOT WORKING.I WOULD CHECK FUSE AND RELAY FIRST IF ALL IS GOOD.THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO FIX.BECAUSE YOU NEED DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT TO WORK ON THE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM.
