Need to solve po172 error code
P0172 - System Too Rich (Bank 1)
Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a rich condition (too little oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.
Note: This DTC is very similar to P0175, and in fact your vehicle may show both codes at the same time. You will more than likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a misfire.
A code P0172 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
* There could be a vacuum leak.
* There could be a fuel pressure or delivery problem

Third eye brake light won't work and the buld
all of the brake lights are on the same fuse. If the other brake lights are working than the fuse is good.
If I remember correctly this third brake light is located in the trunk lid. I would suspect that there is a broken power or ground wire going to the socket for the bulb. The usually area for this to happen is where the wiring harness flexes when the trunk is opened and closed. I think the connector for the harness is in the same area and I'm pretty sure it is on the drivers side. Take a peak at the wiring in that area. you may have to remove some tape to get a good look. If there are wires broken than a simple repair should get it working again. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Hello i have a 97
No fuel pressure? Pump not running? Power to the pump ? Bad fuel pump!
I have a '98 dodge neon and the passenger rear
Back up... on asphault and it will usually release... Usually this is caused by either a sticking ebrake cable, overly worn drums w/New shoes, and sometimes a bent spindle.. Dont keep applying the ebrake this will hinder the problem if any of the above are the issue. Once it frees up take it apart, if the cables stuck many times you can back off the cable adjustment and pry it back to release it, then replace it accordingly. If it isnt the cable, once its loosened up, back off adjuster wheel, remove drum and take it to your local parts store and have it sized, they will tell you if its out of spec, also look for wheel cylinder leakage and contamination.. Lastly if neither are the problem, then it probably has a bent spindle and gets jammed at certain brake application.. I have run into all three on NEONS
How can I figure out
You mean shot? Or out of the car? Or empty? Have somebody in the car while you are looking at the compressor stuck on the front of the engine with a belt attached to it, turn on the engine, turn on the ac, if the clutch engages, it is working, if not, it is shot, If it does not blow cold air, it is out of freon. If it is out of freon, get a 20 oz can at walmart, hook up to low pressure and blast it up to 45 lbs. It might work, might not, for $20 you take a gamble, the ac guy will charge you a lot more than that. The hose will only connect to the low pressure side of the ac system. Hope this helps.
On my 1998 dodge neon, I replaced the water pump
Always start with the easy things. Likely an electrical connection on the fan or on the sensor is not connected, or a sensor was broken by accident. Take a close look at all the connections that are near or on the pump and the area where you were working. Especially look for thing you had to remove or disconnect to replace the pump.
Thanks for using FixYa.
