My 2006 dodge ram the

Sorry but this will need a dealer diagnostics done as yes you can read codes i know on a american market vehicle but i have a sneaky feeling this is a new dash /speedo head unit as later vehicles have more microchips on the back of the speedo head than nasa used to put a man on the moon .It will need plugging into the dealer computer which in turn connects via the internet with teh mainframe at the factory .

Check engine light came on

Could just be a coincidence, or if you blasted the engine compartment with high pressure water....

The car wash pressure may have disconnected an electrical connector part way or completely. Check for this all around the engine and transmission. Touch and wiggle all of them! Don't forget to check under the car all the back to and around the gas tank. Also check for a vacuum line that is popped off or even broken.
Aside from that, water has got into something. Check all power distribution boxes for moisture.
If you don't know how old the plug wires are, or they are the originals, you should replace them.
With plug wires, it's the age, not the miles.

A good parts store can scan the cars computer, and tell you why the light is on.
Usually for free.
