Passlock sensor
The security lock icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

My 03 Yukon 5.3 will die at idle or while driving sometimes it will start right back up sometimes it takes a while. It's
Is the engine light on? If so, can you get the codes read? are there any other lights on during this occurrence? Do you see a lock symbol that lights up on your gauge cluster? If so, does it flash during the "No start"? Several things can cause this problem but to start I would look the MAF sensor (is it filthy) NOTE: great care must be taken if you try to clean the MAF sensor. Only use Maf sensor cleaner. The MAP sensor. The TAC unit can cause this problem as well (carbon builds inside and can cause it to stick). Sludge or debris, in the fuel rail can affect the engines performance. A defective alternator (leaking A/C voltage will affect the engine, Faulty battery cables will affect the engine. defective fuel pump relay or fuel pump can affect the engine. There are more examples but I think this is a good start. The more information and details you can provide, will help. The more test that you can run, the more components that you can check, will help narrow the search down.
Lose of electronics
get the vehicle scan or check fuse it could be a partial contact or the fuse is getting bad.
I want to turn my emergency brakes off
Those are supossed to go off when you put the car in gear aren't they? Push the brake, put the car in drive and bang the pop off. If not there's a lever under there somewhere. It might be way way underneath.
Won't load or eject cd's
Radio needs to be replaced. It is not serviceable- has to be sent into be repaired- will cost more than an aftermarket radio but may be worth it to some people
My 2003 yukon died but was low on fuel
If the engine does not crank, I doubt it has anything to do with the fuel system. You would need to find out if you have power at the starter posts when the key is in start position. Will it crank in neutral, and is the security light flashing ?
Ok 03 Yukon, at first not running but after being towed home it hit a bump and all the lights came on. Took it off the wrecker it started right up, but nothing electrical in cab works, and now it won'
It might possibly be the ignition switch, or the linkage to it.
They reason I suspect this is your statement, "I bumped the key forward and it will engage the starter but still wont shut off"
The part where you insert the key is really a "cylinder lock", that then transfers the turning motion to the actual "ignition switch"
My wife had a Pontiac (also a GM product) that the cylinder lock had a linkage that went to the ignition switch (similar to a sliding electric switch, with the 4 positions, ACC, OFF, RUN, START), which was bolted on further down the steering column, underneath the plastic covering on the column.
Another person here had a similar problem, and after suggesting this, he wrote back that he removed his steering column cover and found a screw opposite the cylinder lock that had loosened and fallen out.
So you could try removing the steering column cover and see if all is ok.
Also, when you have it opened up, observe the action as you turn the key, as the problem could be the cylinder lock itself.
