Headlight Issue
because the lights do come on but not in the actual correct position it points to a bad switch
All warning lights come on in a 2005 sunfire
ther will probably be a wire loom connector under the carpet under your feet and if the water has been getting to it I would saf that it will be correded and rusted . Check the wiring from front to back and check all connections for rust and rot
Sunfire water in trunk
Could be rubber seal around back window or truck,get a water hose and do a little section at a time to find leak.
Change front break pads
1.jack up both tire.2.remove tire.3.unbolt break caliper.4.remove old break pads and take cap off break fluid.5.use pliers or c clamps to push back in caliper to sit ffush.6.install new break pads7.reverse process
Gauge problems
if your speedo is analogue (controlled mechanicly from a take off on the gearbox, diff or roadwheel) and the other clocks are electric i'd be blaming the voltage regulator (normally on the circuit board behing the guages but could be elsewere -i have no specialist knwoledge of you particular model/make of car) the regulator itself may be faulty or sometime the tracks on the circuit board corrode and you can bridge them with a bit of wire and careful soldering as they can be printed onto a piece of thin flexible plastic
