it needs service.! (for sure) does the whole radio go dead? no signs of life at all????? that would be a loose fuse or is bad fuse with hair line cracks inside. some GV have like 4 radio systems. some have separate amp, and those too have a fuse. we can not guess what came with your car, not ever. lots of options on Media.

want crank? or wont start but cranks fast and good. we cant guess that. ever. it must be said.

Normally the two have nothing to do with each other... That is almost like saying I had my tires rotated and now my care won't start. It is possible that you have a coincidence? Stuff happens. could be completely isolated from the water pump replacement. Exactly what do you mean "Wont start".

• does motor turn over
  • if not, check battery connection
• when key turned to start, does anything happen?
• If not, do you hear clicks?
• as motor turns over, does it cough, chug, appear to even sound like it wants to start.
  • if so, possible fuel feed issue.
  • if you have a can of starting fluid/ether spray a little in the tube from where the air filter is.
  • BE CAREFUL, DO NOT OVER DO IT WITH THE SPRAY. JUST A SECOND IS PLENTY!!!
• If you hear the engine start then stop, then it is a fuel feed issue. If not, then check for proper spark.
  • Check for disconnected wires at coil, distributor, spark plugs, rotor cap, etc.
• etc, etc

these are the types of things we need to know. Some times diy'selfers follow all the suggested rules and they may hear "Always disconnect the Negative or positive cable from the battery. did you reconnect if you disconnected? good luck

You can get to it from under the wheel arch, just loosen the plastic wheel arch liner and it will provide direct access to the rear of the lamp where the parking light bulb is located. That's on a long wheelbase grand vitara. I'm not sure if the short wheelbase one or the xl7 are the same as the light configuration is different.

plugs are usually caused by mold buildup. Clearing this line is not easy, as it is not very accessible. Pouring 1 ounce of bleach into the catch tray will help loosen the mold, than you'll need to blow some air from an air compressor into the TOP of that line to blast the blockage out the bottom.

its glued on, and no factory parts for it. ask suzuki, they will tell you that. but there are aftermarket mirror glass, kits. google finds them, we have no idea where you are, so we cant help. find parts. but you can , use google . and you might. the kits dont fit allcars, so its going to be a long saga, finding it , or at all. Suzuki's are underdogs here, (USA)

USA car, non export is my answer and no trailer mods. Not RENEGADE no Canada DRL options, right? are the FRONT PARKS OUT TOO????? my shoe drops.! so putting in 1 new bulb not fix 1? easy huh>? did you scan the PCM for errors, DTC errors> this year has digital controls for that. the tail lights are really parking lights and are on all 4 corners not just tail. so are they all dead.? and the cab illumination in cluster in PARK dead? the BCM puter, closes the park relay on your command(digital) this feeds 2 fuses rear, 7 an 9 (for both ends of car !!!) 9right 7 left rear and license. so if 7 and 9 are good then the relay is not closing or bad.? so in a shop we check fuse 7 and 9 , live, with voltmeter 12vdc both sides, parks ON, if not 12v the relay is bad or not ON. so we scan to PCM to see if the BCM sees errors like "lost park output" or see CANbus comm errors. causing the loss of the park command to BCM BCM means body puter. not complex but BCM most close the relay !!! 12volts across that coil, or there will be no parks. BTW the word tail only works on 1920 fords, had only 1 tail light the parking light run about 20 lamps all over car. and in front of car. the front lamp marked tail would be ODD. but I know what you mean.

sounds like an alignment problem with bad shocks

What's wrong with the old one? Find out what bulbs it has and look for a different vehicle with the same bulbs or aftermarket headlight brightener kit.

If recirculation is active - Switch it off and The system will remember your setting the next time you switch it on.

I wish I knew too - my airbag light is on and I don't know why but think it has to do with the ESP.

pinking, aka, pinging, knock,and best of all detonation (truth it is) pinging does not happen, deceleratiing ever, that is pure noise pinging happens under load, (hills) and lean air fuel mixtures. and a dead EGR valve. so engine noise, buy a $5 stethoscope, listen for exact source location or get it serviced. old post.,

The engine coolant temperature sensor is sticking, replace it, when it gets hot it will stick on hot also and your car will go into limp home mode. They're only about 25 euro and your can replace it you self but on the vitara they're difficult to reach as the engine which was meant to be engine mounted transiaxally mounted transversely. Basically it's turned 90 degrees, so it's hard to get at, it's against the bulkhead. A little patience and you'll get there

Check the Disk to make sure their is no run-out.

I also have a Grand Vitara, and just replaced the battery and once I turn the vehicle on, it will shut off.

The ignition key should fit in one of the retainers. Once the locking cover is removed, you will have access to a standard lug but.. ... Philip

my car has and IAT engine air temp. and HVAC the 2.0L engine has this. and one more hidden inside the MAF http://www.fixkick.com/engine/20Liter/html/image_12.html see, it there, it's real name is IAT and they never go bad. Im not arguing name , but is very important go use them. The IAT is the USA /ASE/SAE name. (and function for EFI controls.) so why not post symptoms or state the job. so we can be on same page.? are you hacking it? (you will fail, if you do , i promise) to change it, unplug it. then remove it reverse above, same with all sensors really but all connectors are locked, and all FSM on all cars tell you how to do, (press lock and gently pull) think this IAT just pulls out. of a rubber grommet. in some countries, (you never said) the car has no IAT at all. so...... can help much ,. my 92 vitara has non then was added in 1993. on up. in USA. in some countries other parts are missing to in the EFI system and uses different spark system. mine uses COPS others use a single twin coil pack my point,, no country ,no joy,

bubbling when the coolant is full indicates a head gasket problem. have a compression test done to check for gasket/cracked head. have a flow test done on the radiator as the cores may be blocked reducing coolant flow.

double posted as Anon' and was answered the answer was, bank 2, sensor 1, (top) oxygen bad, or wires bad to it.
