Where is the ac compressor
Hi - we're gonna need more than just "Acura" ---- model year and engine size, also 2WD/4WD and number of cylinders.
Engine code is 8th digit of VIN, and model year (I can do the translation) is the 10th digit of VIN.
What is the Acura Preowned
They differ from car maker to car maker, honda/acura is an exceptional one.
they offer:
150-point inspection and reconditioning
Return/exchange available
24/7 roadside assistance
Trip-interruption service
Any also check the brakes, lights, tyres, paint work, all service levels such as oil, filter, water, coolant, screen wash, test all electricals within the car and if its under 100k miles then the honda/acura warrenty still stands meaning if thats the case then honda where happy the car was good enough to allow it to continue under a second owner.
they say 150 point check but this more often than not means they checked each light bulb so thats about 20 points, then brakes on drivers front, passenger front 2 more + 4 tyres etc etc. it sounds like a thourough check but basically its just to make sure the car is in good working order and in road worthy condition with the added bonus of breakdown cover etc.
Hope this helps
anything further please get back to me.
Regards
Dan
What to pay for a 35,000 mile checkup
The problem is that the shop charges is based on what they call "book rate". It's an actual labor guide that determines how long a job takes. They are not supposed to "add" hours if they go over the amount of hours allowed to do a particular job. Based on this labor guide, the shop will multiply the amount of hours a job SHOULD take by the shop's labor rate and this is the amount billed to a customer. For example, if a water pump replacement shows in the labor guide takes 2.0 hours, multiply by $75.00(this would be the shop's labor hourly rate) the amount for labor billed to customer is $150.00. Do some shopping around and you'll find out who would have the most reasonable shop rate for your particular job.
Can I drive my 2001 Acura CL with the CD changer out?
Sure you can drive it. Only problem is the radio may have a security code if you pull the fuze you'll need the code...it should come w/ the owners manual....
if not then you gotta take out the deck and there should be a serial number behind the deck which will tell you the code for the deck.
Or the dealer can help with the vin and a ID that you own the car.
Best to you.

More information please. What exactly do you mean by "smoked some"? How heavy was the smoke, was it thicker and heavier than normal? Did it have colour to it like a dense white or a blue tint? This information gives clues to the problem.
The engine spinning but not starting is commonly a 'No spark' issue but if you can get it to run some of the time it could be a faulty sensor. Do you have any warning lights on the dash? It could be worth you getting it scanned with an OBD2 scanner to look for trouble codes. These give clues to any faulty sensors. If you have to pay for this service ask at 4 or 5 places as prices can be VERY different.
Why do you need access to the fuses under the stereo? These are not normally a common set of fuses that cause issues. The fuse panels most commonly used in an MDX are under the hood, left side trim panel (nearest the door hinge) in the driver's footwell and in the left side trim panel in the truck.
