Why is my 300m hot? I changed head gaskets
are you referring to the engine temperature overheating or the cabin temp not cooling down with the aircon on? I am struggling to think of a reason why operating the aircon would affect engine temperature
2001 chrysler 300 dash light for a/c, temp, heater doesn't light up
Hi I'm glad to help!
What we have found at the dealership is some of the A/C Control Heads the lights can be replaced. Call the Chrysler Dealership and give them your VIN and see if the bulbs are offered by themselves. If they are get a hand full of them and pull the control head and fix it yourself to save money. NOTE: If the bulbs are not offered by themselves then your have to but the control head or just leave it the way it is. Hope this helps and have an awesome day.
Where is the air intake valve gasket located in 2001 300m
locate your air filter [Im assuming it is a 5.7L] follow plastic tubes to the back of the motor. Where the tubes bolt onto the motor is where the gasket will be. As the car is running and idling high spray the brake cleaner or ether all around that area, no worries about soaking anything as the stuff evaporates immediately. Use the straw provided if need be to get a good aim, and do it back and forth to see if there is a change in idle. I looked up your motor on google and it shows the gasket at the rear of motor by the firewall just like I figured it would be. Spray a good douse all around making sure it goes all around where the gasket will be. The gasket is metal so it is important to spray the full length of said gasket. Let me kn ow how you make out. If this fails to give an indication or idle stays the same, try spraying the spray onto the air filter and see if the idle goes down, but that is a test of last resort
Starting car idle is very high
sounds like your air intake gasket is leaking. If you take ether, or brake cleaner and spray it where the air intake is bolted on, the idle will come down to normal. Is this problem existing even after the engine is warmed up, or just when you first start it up?
High idle
cold start in computer needs recalibrated or severe vacuum leak in a line somewhere..
Removing plenum from 2001 chrysler 300m
The question is why?
Is there a problem?
Was the intake smoke tested & found to have a failed gasket?
Are you removing it at home in the driveway, if so, watch some
You Tube Video of any intake removal, to see what is involved
If you need instructions, you need to pay a shop to do your work
Timing
That is absolutely correct! You CANNOT set the timing.
Car wont start
Look at that wiring harness that was pierced by the screw. Make sure the wires are not touching one another. If possible tape the wires individually to prevent them from shorting out on one another. Check the fuses for blown fuses.
No heat after water pump replaced 2001 300m 3.5l
Did you change the thermostat? It could be stuck in the open positon, or in backwards, or missing all together. I would like for you to check your heater hoses where they connect to the engine, as this is a very good place for corrosion to build up, restricting coolent flow to your heater core. If this don't fix your heat, I would like to know the reason you changed the water pump. Was it overheating? Did you have heat before you changed the water pump?
300m special Code P0700
This is what sets the code.
Engine started, engine running, and the PCM received a message over the CCD bus from the Transmission Control Module (TCM) that it had detected a problem and set a trouble code in memory. This code sets in 1 Trip(s).
The presence of this code means the TCM detected a problem. TCM related sensor is damaged or has failed.
After everything you have done I would recommend taking it to a transmission shop, I'm sure they have seen this on Chryslers. and know what the common problems are.
