My 97 isuzu rodeo when push for washer fluid
If the pump is making noise when you press the washer-fluid button then it is probably a hose issue. Open the hood of your car and have someone press the button. If you can see where the fluid is spraying out, then you have found the disconnected hose. It should not have fallen too far away from where it is supposed to be connected, so it should not be too hard to reconnect it.
If your washer fluid pump is not making noise when you press the button, then check the pump. If there are no loose electrical connections, then the pump it probably dead. Replace the pump and you will be fine. If you notice a burned looking wire near the pump, then you should be able to replace the wire and be OK -- but this usually indicates that there is a bigger problem at hand (wires usually don't just burn out for no reason).
I know this one is going to sound silly ... but have you made sure the washer fluid level is full? If your tank is empty, it won't spray. Double check this before you spend any money on anything else -- sometimes the washer-fluid tank will crack and leak, so even if you fill it, it will be empty again by the time you go to use it again (it once took me a month to find out that this was the problem in one of my old cars ... ha ha ha ... I felt really silly)
Most likely it is just a hose. Most auto makers use a friction connection for these hoses since it won't kill anyone if it pops off. If you find that this IS the problem, I recommend using a zip-tie to secure the hose where it is supposed to be so you don't have to deal with the same problem repeatedly.
How to check the auto
You can't check it....there is a overfill screw were you fill transmission through...its under the vihicle..transmissions don't burn or leak oil so no need to check them ..unless it is slipping or shifting bad.....should have trans oil changed about every 20,000 miles..

The power windows use a 30amp fuse. The fuses are located below the dash board on the driver's side. It is located in slot CB-27 and is the largest fuse mounted in the middle of the box.
Water pump locked up on
it is possible this happened since the 97 Isuzu engine is an interference engine and has a timing belt, not a chain. When the pump locked up, the stress of the non moving water pump could have forced the belt to jump time. this then in all probability damaged valves in the head since they collided with the moving pistons, making this a very expensive problem. You might consider trying to find a used engine in good condition as it might be less to swap an engine than to fix this one, or you could price this repair in other facilities. It's a 97 so you will find these engines in many locations like ebay, junkyards and Craigslist.
Leaking water from front of
check the seal around your water pump and also the radiator hoses. more than likely you have a leaking water pump. look for signs of coolant on the serpentine belt and keep a close eye on your coolant level.
Window's will not go up
Hello,
Have you pulled another door switch from another window from your truck to see if it is the switch? If it is not the master panel (front driver side panel) that has gone bad then try to use the master panel to function the window in question. You want to make sure it is the switch before just replacing it because there is a regulator/motor that powers the window up and down that can just go bad out of nowhere too. You pull the door panel to replace the regulator/motor should this be the case. However if you are dead set on getting the switch you may want to try a salvage yard to save some money. If you want a new one then you may have to go to the dealership to get this item. They are easy enough to replace. There are two screws on top of the switch that you need to remove. The you take a flathead screw driver and gently pry the switch panel up. Then there is a connector that pops off and you reverse to replace.

Tony

High idle problem
HIGH IDLE COULD BE ACCELERATOR CABLE BINDING PULLING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL OR YOU HAVE VACUUM LEAK AT THROTTLE BODY GASKET.WHERE GASKET COULD CRACK SPLIT APART THROTTLE MOUNTING BOLTS LOOSE OR YOU COULD HAVE FAULTY IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE.IN WHICH IT WILL CAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO FLASH.

Is a special tool required to change spark plugs
you will need 5/8 spark plug socket as well as a long extension to replace spark plugs. That you can get at local auto part stores.Plugs are on either rocker cover....there are 3 ign coils on each rocker cover that need to be removed then remove the plugs You will need a 5/8 spark plug socket as well as a long extension to replace them 8mm socket holds the individual coils on.
------------
ON 3.2L there are acually no spark plug wires, the engine acually has whats called, coil over plug which means the the power to make a spark plug spark, happens right over your spark plug. Now in order to get to the spark plugs which are under the coils you have to first unscrew the screws, there'll be two phillips head screws per coil, after that just pull the coil out, it should be about 3 inches, the spark plugs are at the bottom of the hole that you just uncoverd, you'll need an extesion for your socket in order to reach them, take them out, replace, put the coil back on top making sure that its seated ontop of the spark plug, put the two screws back in, tighten and your done with one, continue for all.

this should help.thanks.Helpmech.
Leaking anti freeze. But not from the radiator.??
If it is coming from the front of the engine and almost dead center, then probably the waterpump is going bad. The waterpump is located underneath the timing covers (2 pieces), and requires you remove the timing belt to change it. I can email you a procedure for removing and reinstalling the timing belt if you wish. Send a request to
[email protected] if you decide to change the waterpump.
I have a 1997 isuzu rodeo 3.2L I've checked the
You may want to try to see if the car will start while you spray starting fluid down the throttle body. If it doesn't, the problem may not be the fuel pump at all. There is an idle air control valve bolted to the front of the throttle body that can keep the car from starting as well.
If the car starts with the starting fluid, you might want to change your fuel filter. It's mounted under the car near the passenger rear door.
Just changed all 3 belts
If all you changed are the belts external to the engine, your valves should not have been affected. Are you hearing a high-pitched sound when you start it? If so, try tightening the alternator belt a few turns. I have two Rodeos and both will squel if that belt tension is not correct.
My power windows would not go down( had the same
Sound like a problem with the windows motor, not relay. I suggest replace it definitively and wrong solve; I have the same problem in my Jeep ago few months, my windows go to down but won't up, some kicks solve this problem few time, then windows motor died.
Hope helps.
I need some help with a 97 rodeo.24valve v-6. When
To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a cleaner for an O2 sensor. If it tested bad, it has to be replaced. Are you clearing the codes with the scanner tool? If the codes are not cleared, replacing the parts will have no effect. The computer will think the problem still exists, and will compensate by either reducing power or going into what is called the "limp home mode". If clearing the codes does not make the engine run better, look for other problems, such as bad spark plugs and wires, or distributor cap and rotor. If these items are bad, they will cause the engine to run badly, and they will also trigger trouble codes related to other sensors, such as the O2 sensor. I had a dodge v8 that was running terrible. The scan said I had multiple sensors throwing codes, but replacing them did no good. It turned out to be a bad distributor cap and rotor. The multiple misfires caused by the cap and rotor messed up the fuel mixture causing the codes to set for a bad MAF sensor and MAP sensor. The scanner cannot tell you when the cap and rotor are bad. Only that the engine has multiple misfires.
