It sounds like you need to replace the serpentine belt when they get old they will whine and when they warm up alot of times it will quit and sometimes not but it sounds like you just need a new serpentine belt which runs your water pump, alternator, powersteering.

Fan motor keeps shutting off
I am assuming you are talking about the radiator fan
if so, then do not worry about the on time for the fan unless the engine is over heating
if however, you are talking about the blower motor fan then the concern is probably in the relay located in the harness near the HVAC case

Cant get starter out in a 2001 jeep wagler 2.5
Once you remove the starter mounting bolts and wires from the solenoid, the starter should pull right out and allow you to drop it down.
If you have a 3.7 it will take some more dis-assembly, but you have a 4 cylinder.

2001 jeep wrangler sport ,fog lights on, switch off
I have a simular problem. Only mine does not some on. I tried to replace the turn signal switch assembly with a used one. The replacement work ok on the fog lights but the rest was bad. As near as I can figure it, the switch assemble is not well made and had many ways to go bad. Either replace the whole assemble or wire in a bipass switch. I am going to go with a bipass switch. I don't trust the new jeep products.

I have a 2001 wrangler. well my engine light is on
Generally just driving through several cycles will permit the computer to re-set itself. If not, try disconnecting the battery for a minute. (you also will need to re-set security system if you do that)

Top off the coolant reserve tank while on a level service,
Check the radiator can and the coolant tank cap for warn rubber seal.
Replace if necessary.
Check for leak on the center of the water pump.
If the water pump is timing belt driven......check leaks on the base of the timing belt cover.
MOVER the COLD / HOT lever to free up the air blending selector.
Pass a vacuum over the entire climate control will also help.

Checking heater control valve is a teo person job.
One can mover the selector inside the car another can located the heater control valve that control to the heater hose.
Use a lite coat of WD-40 to lube the heater control valve moving part/lever. Keep moving the selector until heater is operation.
Vacuum line control will require a lot more time to trace where is the leak. The principle are the same. Follow the vacuum hose until you see a crack. Replace the vacuum line and you will be back in business.
Please post more information on the comment link on top right.
I will follow up.
