Abs system applies no light coming on

You checked for OBD Codes & Googled them? You know what codes are? Never had a vehicle problem in the last 35 years, with vehicles being electronic? Rear your owners manual ? Never go to a repair shop ? Use Google to study why you get ABS light on?

Button on the gear shift does not press into move gear shift on mountaineer

Check to see if brake lights are working when you step on pedal...if not you may have a bad brake lamp switch on the pedal shaft.if the shifter interlock doesn't see power out of the switch it won't allow you to shift out of park. It's a safety system to prevent anyone from shifting into gear when they might be pressing gas pedal. If you're stuck, sometimes you can turn key on to just before dash lights come on, put vehicle in neutral and start and shift, but be careful because you may not have brake lights and could cause an accident or possibly get pulled over.

Why is my oil life percent is 9 and can I drive still or I have to change engine oil soon for the mercury mountaineer 2006

Regular maintenance is needed for oil changes. If your oil level is dropping you need to keep it up to operating level but you do need to find out why it is burning or losing oil. If your oil is black then it needs to be changed regardless of the miles on it.

Engine symbol warning light is on? What does this mean?

The check engine light? The car's computer has registered a problem (many of which are not serious) and has stored a code to help home in on the fault. Take the car to a mechanic or auto electrician to have this code read out. In the USA Autozone will do this too.

Overheating while driving my 2006 mercury

If you are losing coolant but not leaking out, there are 2 other possibilities. Does it go intop the oilpan? Easy to verify by looking at dipstick. If no, then it is probably getting into the cylinders and going out the exhaust. Is the exhaust particularly moist? Causes for this would be a blown head gasket or cracked head. If you have more questions, please reply.
