05 Acura TL. My AC has stopped blowing cold air.
The sound you are hearing may be the expansion valve or a leak in the system.
I would advise to have an AC gauge connected to the AC system and check for your refrigerant levels while the AC is set at its highest. Check first if the pressure is at the correct level. Most cars have it between 30 and 45psi on the low and 200 - 350psi on the high side.
If the freon is low, you just need to add more into the system while the AC is set to its highest setting. If there are no changes in the levels after adding then there could be a leak in the system or the expansion valve may be bad. To detect leaks, shops would use a dye or a simpler method is by using soap suds and check if there are bubble formation over the lines and linkages.
A bad expansion valve or a dirty system can cause you to get a very high pressure or a very low one. If adding or removing refrigerant does not help then it is likely that the expansion valve is bad or the system is dirty.
There is ticking sound coming
ticking tells me you have a rocker arm tap most motors get it with high miles un less you want to change the cam and lifters if the tap isnt to bad it wont hurt the motor
I have a 2005 Acura
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. This is usually a sign of low oil. You need to check it. More then likely, it is your lifters. They usually peck if the vehicle is running or has been run with low oil.
Help me and tell me
the fuel filter for this is in the gas tank, it is part of the fuel pump module.
