Tsx 2005 slipped transmission

You can get the transmission rebuilt. Look for a local transmission repair shop. It's much cheaper that way.

I have a 2005 Acura TSX and the alarm keeps going off every ten minutes while parked

Most likely is one of your door pin switches is very marginal and barely making contact and slight vibrations push it over the edge. The easiest way to find it usually is close the vehicle with all windows down, lock and activate the alarm. wait 2 minutes (for modules to sleep and fully arm). Now without reaching inside or touching the outside handle, grab each door over the open window and shake it gently while pulling out. this doesnt have to be violent by any means...just a light shake should be enough. If one of them trips the alarm and the others do not, youve likely found your answer,. some people believe in putting a spacer on a door pin switch if it has one. That can work for awhile and is fast and cheap. If the switch for the door is in the lock, youll likely end up replacing the lock assembly. If your regular mechanic has an enhanced san tool for talking to the vehicle computer, he can extract the most recent alarm trigger data from the tool. This is absolutely the best and easiest way, but expect to pay for it. He has training, rent, and a 5000 dollar scantool to pay for to be able to do such work, its worth every penny. Good luck.,

Radio code 2005 acura tsx, serial number U1000L2733

Look in your owners manual and a lot of the time there is a card or piece of paper with the code. If not there, I would go to your Honda/Acura dealer and tell them you had to unhook your battery and don't have the code. In the past I have gotten the code this way and they didn't charge me anything.

I need the radio code for an acura tsx 2005

The 3 hopeful places most common on a Honda/Acura product are: 1- owners manual. 2-card in the glovebox or inserted in the owners manual 3-look on the inside lip of the glovebox door for a white or blue or silver sticker with numbers on it. IF you have the sticker, the number will be your radio code. If you dont have any of those 3, you can call your selling dealer and they are SUPPOSED to keep it and return it for free, or any other honda dealer MAY give it (in person!) for free or a small fee. It can also be determined with a code calculator, but that requires the serial number off the radio, which means removing it, so lets try the above 1st as all are easier than taking things apart.

My question is do i trust the mechanic that my 2005 tsx acura battery cable needs to be replace???

I wouldn't trust them at all I would however-- be there-- & see the testing that was done, in person,so you can make a informed decision If you had been looking under the hood, once a month, you would see the battery leaking & the cable being effected No reason to allow that

The alarm won't stop going off on Acura 2005, what can stop it?

I had a similar problem and the solution was actually very simple. I opened the car manually (with the key not remote control), then locked it manually with the button on the side of the driver's door. I think that reset the alarm and all was good!

Changing transmission oil

To change the auto transmission fluid in your car you have some choices, if you just want to replace the fluid and filter that will replace about 3-4 quarts of the trans fluid, this requires the pan on the bottom of the trans be removed (there is no drain plug), the filter is inside, this is very messy. If you wish to do a complete fluid exchange you will first need to remove the filter and replace it, then have the transmission flushed with a special machine that pumps out all of the old fluid and replaces it with new fluid, most oil change shops do this service as well as the dealer, the dealer charges about the same and i would take it there.

Is it really necessary to

Most of the time no. Easy way for a repair shop to make money on ya though. Look at the coolant and see what it looks like. Whether you have the green stuff or the pink/red stuff, if it is a nice color then you are good, If its rusty or dirty and a dirty brown color than it probably is a good idea.
