First of all make sure you bleed all the air out properly , air locks can cause the cooling fan not to work . Is the cooling fan working? If all this is ok does the whole system get hot like the radiator and interia heater if not id be looking at the waterpump

Given the age and possible mileage on the unit, you will be money ahead if you order a rebuilt one that has a warranty. There are too many items that need to be inspected and replaced if worn on that transmission. There are seals, bushings, clutches, orings, etc.

try replacing the TCM with a known good one for test

hi id look round the exhaust manifold for leakage

no problems before the mud deal but problems after the mud deal means that the problems started in the mud
check for mud in connections , wires disconnected , harness problems, vacuum hose to actuator broken or missing
run the fault codes to help point to a problem area
the transmission is sealed so there will be no need to change the oil or filter--just clean and check everything that is mud affected

try removing the hose at the nozzles and use compressed air and a blower nozzle to blow back out the blockage from the nozzle opening

You need to disconnect the wire connector at the high pressure switch, jump the tow wires in the connector with a paper clip, start the car and you should be able to add your refrigerant. Most compressors will not start when too low.

Lots of automatics have had electronic control for around 30 years that has become much more sophisticated over time. The same can be said of engine management and it was inevitable the two brains would be linked so they could talk to each other - and influence each other, though I believe the engine influences the transmission more.

I know little about autos because over here almost every car is a manual but I think it unlikely an engine fault that switches on the engine check light - meaning it is on the emergency get-you-home programme - would not affect the automatic transmission in some way.

There is really only one way to discover if this is true or false and that is to get your engine fixed.

Dear Joyces,
why not name 1 of 4000 parts, sorry not doing 4000 for you or anyone.
now that is and impossible question, if ever there was.
why not go to isuzu parts and look it up your self
if the p/n matches its a match.
to do that on 4000 parts, would be a bit nutz.... IMO

but a company does SELL that info
used in all wrecking yards..
called Hollandars data base.

btw, parts can and will be different even if car is in California
or not, or in CANADA, you never said where.
due to USA SMOG LAWS. and (DOT LAWS)

the book is $700 (buy it or finda wrecker that has it and can help)
