Can a blown hea gaskt cause water to not circulate through engine?
yes the water/coolant will be circulating in areas where it should not be and thus will not cool your engine also it will mix in to oil and boil off causing loss of coolant over time. This happened to me and about every two or three weeks I would have to refill coolant tank.
2001 Isuzu rodeo 4wd put transmission fluid but
Did you by chance have it Back flushed in a service center if there is lots of mileage on this 150K plus more than likely the transmission is done for NEVER back flush a transmission i dont care what people say.
I have a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo, 4 cylinder manual. I am getting a P0303 "cylinder 3 misfire" code.
Very strange.
A fuel pump problem should affect all of the cylinders. It would be easy enough to check by using a fuel pressure gauge.
Code 303 means cylinder 3 is not producing power, so it could be fuel, compression, or spark.
Its possible the pressure in the tank is changing somehow, but I would expect to find the real problem has nothing to do with the fuel level in the tank.
Could even be something like a bad spot on the cam or crank causing the engine computer to not get a signal to fire that cylinder sometimes.
Or a problem with the EGR valve or some other vac issue.
What makes the reduced power light come on?
the "brain" of the car has detected a problem and is reducing the power available (limp home mode), get it to a garage and have them scan the odb2 data (or get a odb2 scanner and do it yourself. it will provide a fault code) the fault code will tell why it went to reduced power mode (limp home)
Isuzu OBD II Trouble Codes
How many quaarts of transmission fluid does it take after you service your transmission
A/T or m/t
read the fsm , the fsm covers all this for all transmission options sold with car. we cant guess any of that.
the A/T?
service what, TC clutch out?
measure what came out and put back same
all A/T the drain amount can be differ., depends on many factors.
it even varies by temperature.
its totally unlike any manual trans, that drains all out.
on min, i get 2.5 quarts 1 time the 3.5 others....
it all dont come out only about 1/3 (the clutch is chock full)
in the old days we had clutch drain plugs,, not now.
