Take it to autozone or advance auto they will tell you what the code is for free but more than likely it's an oxygen sensor that needs replaced 9 outta 10 times that's what a check engine light is on for

THERE IS A SHORT IN THE WIRING! A HOT WIRE IS BACK FEEDING THRU THE BRAKE LITE, AND/OR TURN SUGNAL!

1. If you haven't changed your Spark Plug Wires, go ahead and change them. Most of the time this will fix any misfiring you have.
2. If this doesn't fix your problem, get your codes checked and report your findings.

you have to replace the wires and coil pack common problem I work as a mechanic for subaru and both have to be replaced no a hard job if you want to doit yourself

find a fusebox then replace broken fuse

You can buy spray cans of disinfectant, Wurth sell it aas doo motor factors. with engine running and ac on with fan on full empty whole can in the intake vent under screen where the wipers are.

hehe, this is a funny one because the solution is rather simple. I only know about this because it happened to a friend of mine I was visiting in her older subaru, nearly brought her to tears - also, later I when I got my baja I saw it in my manual.

There's a little switch on the top of the steering column that's sole purpose is to turn on those lights without the keys in or having the vehicle on. Might have been switched on accidentally when setting the clock, or by some curious means.

White/Black: Left Front -
White: Left Front
Green/Black: Left Rear -
Green: Left Rear
Grey/Black: Right Front -

Red: 12V Switched Power
Black: Ground
Blue: Power Antenna
Orange: Illumination (not dimmed by switch)

If replacing you can order a wire harness from crutchfield - worked great for me!

motor is probably shot for window or window switch on the door check power to the switch and whether it sends power out but if your gettin noise when you push it it may be the regulator

This is the service procedure for a 2003 Subaru Forester, but should be the same: Rotate the mirror left or right about 90 degrees or as far as you can rotate it. There is a U-shaped clip that holds the mirror to its mount with a little U at the tip for pulling the clip out with needlenose pliers, etc. Buy new clip for reinstallation, about $6.10 from the dealer. There is a bladder in auto-dimming mirror that seem to burst with age and/or heat and a bubble of clear mirror with frosting appears that will move as you rotate the mirror. No recall that I have seen, but should be. Mine just went last week. $220 to replace at Winchester Subaru.

are you missing a serpentine belt by any chance ?

Open the tail gate, and you will see on the side of the tail light housing two screws that you will need to unscrew in order to take the housing out. If it is the tail light ,that is on the actual gate, open the tail gate and remove the plastic bed liner there are few of screws that need to be removed. Hope this helps you fix it.
