Does anyone know how to get the ABS light off of a 2006 subaru impreza wagon it just popped on and would prefer to have it off
The ABS light, (Antilock Braking System), is a warning light for the vehicles Brakes. The light is on because the vehicles electronics has detected a problem and the light will stay on until you fix it. You need to get this looked at by a good mechanic AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Are there any other warning lights on the dashboard? You should get the vehicle scanned for Diagnostic Trouble Codes, DTC's. These give clues as to where the problem If you need to pay for this service get prices at 4 or 5 places as prices can be VERY different.

1998 Subaru Outback Legacy Speedometer not registering
From online research, this is a common problem for this vehicle year, make & model. There are usually two fixes for the problem. The first is a broken solder joint on the printed circuit board on the back of the instrument cluster. It can be repaired easily if you're good at soldering. The second fix is a defective vss (vehicle speed sensor) Its located on the side of the transmission and simply bolts in place I believe.
2016 Subaru legacy steering column will not lock in place when adjusting
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
Honestly, the best thing to do when you're experiencing steering wheel locking problems is to take it to professionals. You should take the car to your local mechanic or your car dealership as soon as possible. In fact, you might even want to have it towed there. This is a significant safety issue and it shouldn't be ignored for any reason.
Even if you consider yourself a decent mechanic, this is not going to be a job that's easy to tackle. It involves getting into some hard to reach areas of your car. Taking your steering column and steering wheel out is not easy and you don't want to accidentally cause damage to other systems. Allowing your expert mechanic or dealership to handle things ensures that the situation will be solved promptly.
You don't have to wait around and try to figure out which one of these problems is the one you're experiencing. The potential causes above are all fairly common, but they aren't going to be easy for you to fix on your own. A mechanic has the right tools and expertise to get your steering wheel to lock again. You should be able to get the repairs done so that you can have your car back without it taking too much time.
My radio won’t turn on. My door ajar light WONT illuminate. Neither will the map lights, heater. Please help
The problem is that even if you replace fuse #2 and fuse #8 in the engine compartment, possibly restoring map lights, air conditioning, heater and radio, it is very likely some component is busted and drawing too much power through the fuses. It is possible that the bearings in the heater need oiling finally drying out after 10 years That fuse #2 handles multiple power on functions and if it is blown, you have to round up the usual suspects, i. e. test further to see just which component has truly failed..
