Isuzu bighorn 99 deisel 3.0
not going anywhere when in gear indicates a problem in the torque converter clutch area ( automatic transmission) or clutch hydraulic or cable system
If hydraulic would be in the master cylinder -replace it or cable breaking cable jamming in the outer case --replace it
for automatic it indicates that the servo/solenoid for the torque converter clutch has a problem
run the fault codes

1993 Trooper 3.2L DOHC. Will start after sitting
When this stall or fails to start occurs have a pressure gage hooked up to the fuel injection pressure test port (top of engine in the pipe that supplies the fuel to injectors) and see if you are losing fuel pressure.

Reverse lights on 1997 bighorn not working
if the lights not working check the fuse with a test light, if they appeared to be good remove the bulb and find a good ground to clip your test light with the pointed end of the test light touch the center led witch should be positive if it dont light up check the ground then the wires it self there may be a short or a bad ground and change the bulb if you cant see weather its good or bad and sometime you have to scrape inside or twist the bulb i hope you get some results

How do I test to see if my alternator is bad? The dashboard lights: Gas, batt, and brake light all came on randomly. Theyll go off at 2500 RPM and my volt meter reads somewhere in the 9 volts range.
9 volts isn't enough my friend. You need about 14 to14.5 at a fast idle. Get a hand held automotive volt meter/tester and put the two clips on the two battery posts. Read the voltage without the engine running. Then start up and read the voltage at 2500 rpm. If the voltage is 12-13 at idle and 14 or so at 2500 then the gauge is faulty. If the volts are barely different to the static voltage or lower then the alternator is basically dead. The vehicle systems may play up when the volts fall below a certain level. I can't comment on the 02 sensor but that may be an independent fault. Some alternators have replaceable brushes or regulators complete with brushes. If you are handy with tools download some info on swapping the brushes/regulator or consult the workshop manual because the brushes are a few bucks and half an hour to change. If the alt has done a high mileage there will be wear on other components, bearings etc and a replacement would be a better long term bet. Check out your local parts store or go online to a Japanese auto spares site.

What do dashboard lights mean
you meant warning lamps. right? not parking lamps.
every year they add more. my newer car has like 100.
each maker uses different lamps. (icons.)
making generic answers impossible ,except the obvious.
CEL , check engine light, or SES. service engine soon.
Oil lamp... low oil pressure do not run engine.
charge lamp, battery will die soon (go discharged and car stalls)
you lost the operators guide, all lamps are explained in every car made in the glove box manual.
get one.
or use this random page.
this is a grand attempt at the generic, its very good.
http://dashboardsymbols.com/the-symbols/
mean.
it means what the book says it means.
end story.
alldata.com also has the facts on this car.
