2008 isuzu i-290. It starts bucking and jumping

sounds like a camshaft position sensor. They are relatively inexpensive to replace yourself, about 1 hour labor at a shop. Most are able to be replaced in a few minutes once you find them. 2 bolts and a electrical connector. You need to get the Check engine light code scanned and it will tell you exactly what to check . Its not free anymore in many parts of USA from an auto parts store, auto mechanics lobby made a law about it as they were losing money on diagnostics.

Do you have to reset the computer after installing a throttel positioning sensor

IF you have used a genuine unit as replacement it may not be necessary but usually when there is a fault code reading it stays permanent until the cpu is reset by a code reader.

The idle on my 98 Isuzu Rodeo shoots up AFTER driving for awhile, then goes back to normal after killing the engine for awhile. Need some troubleshooting suggestions. Thanks

You more than likely have a idler sensor bad. It could also be a O2 sensor. Is your check engine light on ? If so, you can take it to Auto Zone and they will check it for you for free.
