You probably need a camshaft position actuator solenoid. 12597025 is the gm part number and its on the passenger side of cylinder head at the front of engine. They gave trouble when they first came out with this engine on this gm built truck. See www.myisuzuparts.com for a picture.

Tip

2006 Isuzu i-280 cranks but won't start

Temporary fix: Check to see if anti-theft security light (car with lock icon) on the dashboard is flashing. If it is, wait 10 minutes then restart ignition. Truck should start if you do this every time this happens.
Permanent fix: GM vehicles are notorious for this problem. You can 1.replace ignition switch or 2.replace Vehicle Anti-Theft System (very expensive).

P0300 = Random/multiple misfires detected.

Something else besides worn spark plugs is causing the misfires. Check for a clogged fuel filter, low fuel pump pressure, fuel pressure regulator stuck in idle (low) mode, leaky spark plug wires, vacuum leaks, and a leaky EGR valve.
