Check throtle position sensor... one section closes a set of contacts when you take your foot off the accelerator... this is sent back to the engine control computer which adjust the timing to insure the engine stays @ ~ 800 rpm. It's easy to set with just a simple multimeter...

id not guess, there are 50+ reasons for misfire, yours is that.the only way to diagnose a EFI problem is to use, tools .got tools? first tune it up, spark plugs, wire-set, cap, rotor and fuel filter & air filter. do the 60k tune up with a new timing belt if the belt slips all engine power drops, and misfires, and compression drops real low.use a tool called a compression gauge.1: the wrong gas cap will cause the fuel pump to stall. get a cap that is factory rated,with a real vacuum breaker.2: low fuel pressure, use a , gauge .3: injectors leaking or clogged, same gauge finds same failures.there is no need to guess. and throw expensive parts, ever.here is 43 ways to misfire here.http://www.fixkick.com/misfiring.html
Gas over flow on Suzuki Sidekick 1995
Could be a leaking fuel injector or faulty pressure regulator.I would unplug the injectors first and see if the flooding stops.You may have to test each injector to find the defective one.

black: ground( all bulbs require a ground to operate)green: right turnyellow: left turn red: brakeyellow and purple: back upthese are basic wiring colors they may not be exact for your aplication your best bet is to find someone u know with an ohm meter( multi meater) who knows how to test voltage and sort out the wires and re connect with splices NOT tape ur only asking for trouble if u dont do it right the first time ( oh before u start check the fuse size and get some extra u will probably blow a few sorting it out best of luck
