Disconnected battery and reconnected it and car will crank over but will not start
Could be several items:
Would start with fuel pump. Can try banging on tank (if its in the tank) or tap on pump if outside.
To test fuel pump:
Locate fuel filter, disconnect line and on the exit end of the fuel pump. Turn ignition on and attempt to start. Be careful no open flames, or spark cuz if fuel pump is working gas will come out.
If no fuel now disconnect other end of fuel filter. Fuel filter is now removed. Try starting vehicle.
Note in most cases it will only put fuel out for 2-3 seconds to prime the fuel lines and then goes out for 5-10 while vehicle starts, then turning back on.
Having someone to help look will help when checking this. If fuel comes out now then the fuel filter is plugged. If nothing then fuel pump is toast.
Look up on YouTube how to remove fuel pump from either in tank or out of tank.
95 labaron, serpentine belt comes off.
One of the pulley's the belt drives is off center. Not knowing what engine you have I would have to say you need to replace the water pump. Check the alternator bolts one may have vibrated out also the powersteering pump and A/C compressor and idler pulley assm.
Defrost on all the time
Sounds like your Cable to the Mixing Doors came lose or Broke. If it is Electric, then put your hand down on the Motor and see if it is actuating the door. If the Motor is working and still does not divert the air, then you have an internal issue with the Heat Mixing Box....
Lebaron Voltage issues...voltage regulator?
Have you not watched the alternator output voltage witha volt meter?Have you got a battery capable of taking & holding a charge?Have you cleaned both ends of the battery cables & voltage dropped them?Have you used an amp clamp with your VOM to look at alt output current or put ampere in series with output wire to check for currentripple & bad diodesI would have the auto parts store load test the battery & test the alt
Car cranks good but won't start
Hello... I applaud all the work you have done so far... A car basically needs ignition, fuel and compression to run. I will leave the compression for last.
But lets do some simple checks.. Even though parts are replaced, check to make sure you have a strong spark, use a spark tester. They are cheap.
Check all powers and grounds running from the ignition system This includes all wires and power cables from the fuse box.
It sounds like something is loss...
I would also have the computer scanned with a scanner to see if there are any codes stored.
Good Luck.... Post back with fix... Thanks
