Transmission when coming to a stop downshifts to 1st gear with a thud?
There was a popular repair done back then that provided smoother shifting and removed that sound it has like a toy winding up. It was a valve of some sort if I recall correctly. But there was no recall & it was only repaired if under warranty and a lot of complaining. I was able to improve my shifting noises substantially by having the trans fluid completely evacuated(not simply drained) refilled and adding Lucas transmission treatment. Hope this helps.
Fuel filter
The fuel filter is in the back toward the fuel tank. Make sure you let off the pressure before taking off the filter, or you could end up with gasoline in your face. There is a schrader valve (looks like a tire valve) on the fuel injector rail on the front that you can let off the pressure before removing the filter. There is a little fitting that you can buy at your local parts retailer that you push up to the filter to release the clip holding the filter to the fuel line. If this was helpful, please don't forget to rate this solution.
I have a 1998 Chrysler Sebring How can I
If you can find out how to put it in valet mode, that would at least tell you if its the alarm or something else. Also, when my battery died, I had to put the key in the ignition and turn it to on before connecting new or recharged battery back in.
