I have a 2001 pt cruiser it ran out of gas .put six gallons of gas in it .cycled key three times motor turns over good but wont crank
You most likely have air trapped in the injector lines. Check the fuel delivery rail that carries the gasoline to the injectors and look for a Schrader valve (very similar the the valve stem on your tires). It will probably have a cover over it to keep the dirt out.
Once you have found it, cycled the key a few times, press in the Shrader valve with your finger or a blunt pin. Hold a rag over the area to keep fuel from being sprayed in your face in case fuel spurts out. You may need to do this a few times to purge all of the air out of the line.
If you have an assistant to turn the key while you depress the Schrader valve, it will speed things up.
PT Cruiser 2001, The tracking system is coming engaged when I slow down and causes the car to shake. Can I disable the tracking somehow?
If your car has traction control from the factory, then you should have an easily visible switch located under your radio which is used to temporarily disengage the system. Push it in for a moment until the light on your dash (by the fuel gauge) comes on. Alternatively, I would explore the possibilty that one of your tires has separated from its tread and that is the actual cause of the shaking. This is easy to check the next time you or your shop rotates the tires, just look for out-of-round tires or bulges on the tires. A bad tire should be covered at least partly under its manufacturer warranty.
