Speedometer cable
Parts stores still might be able to find that for you. Or try a few salvage yards Replacement is pretty easy. It unscrews from the transmission, and behind the instrument cluster where it connects to the back of the speedometer, is usually held on there by a plastic clip that depresses to release. You will probably have to pull the cluster out a few inches to get your hand back there to release the cable clip...and the electrical connector if you want to remove the cluster and put new illumination bulbs in while you have it out.
How do you use 4 wheel drive on a suzuki samuri
the samurai doesn't have 2L it has 2H.there are 4 modes on the transfercase. 2H, 4H, N and 4L.2H engages the rear wheels only while 4H and 4L engages all 4 wheels. N disengages all 4 wheels, useful for flat towing.

take the 4 screws out of housing pull up on it and then when you can see the shifter mounted take the screws or bolts out of it i think 2 pull shifter up till it comes out then look in the shifter hole you will see 2 notches take a screwdriver and a line the notches together the drop in the shifter wiggle it back and forth it will start shifting then replace bolts on shifter and replace the 4 screws holding bracket with rubber attached to it and your done ...this happens alot if you put it in 4 wheel and dont lock hubs so dont do that this is bad and you can read that on the yellow stickers abovr your head if there still there but glad i can help let me know if you get it????????????????????
Transfer case stuck in neutral
take the 4 wheel drive shifter out, and follow it down, open up ur transfer case and you can will see your shifterforks, order a shifter sheet bushing for around $20 and install it. you can do all this without taking the transfercase off of the sami and it should take around 30 minutes to tear it down, put in the bushing, and put it all back together.if you dont understand that, heres a linkhttp://zukioffroad.com/Tech_Library/tcase_shifter_bushing.shtml
