USA we scan it. and get the DTC errors. (OBD2)
not USA, it's the lamp blink marakley way (OBD1)
both ECUs willshow you DTCs. (no spark) and maybe WHY
if the CMP sensors and some engines, CKP/CMP are bad
you will get codes, 41,42, or P0340/355 (USA)

if car is 96 use any scan tool made.
if car is not OBD2 then place the diagnostic jumper and count flashes
