You need to ring an audi main dealer and they will get you the code

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for your Audi radio from the car manufacturer, or from an Audi dealer!

The sequence of programming for 2002 Audi A6 radio is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!

Bring your registration to the dealership. They can look up the code using your vin#

somweher is air in cooling system, Sensor is out, or thermostat is broken.

you would need to know the code off the back of the radio and even then you audi would be the only one that could give you that code i belive.
i dont think they should charge you for that and you might be able to get away with giving them just your VIN number.
i would try that first

put the key in the door and lock/hold the key over,the window should go all the way up.

If you can have someone read the codes it could narrow it down.. I have a 04 A6 3.0 and have had similar problems when I had a coil go bad on one of the cylinders.

WHEN TAKING OFF THE CAR REVS UP BUT DOES NOT MOVE, THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH LIGHT UP N.P.D.R. WHEN YOU TRAVEL ABOUT 100KMH THE CAR MOVES WELL. ONLY ON TAKE OFF THERE IS A PROBLEM.

Check & replace the engine thermostat if necessary.

Heed of antifreeze coolant temperature!!!
First time you might check the thermostat operating.
The thermostat location for 2005 Audi A4 1.9 TDI, is on back of the alternator at the bottom side of the bracket.
IMPORTANT: It is NOT necessary to replace the alternator if you want to change the thermostat !!!
Thermostat checking:
1. Cold engine. Start up the engine and watch of the water temp indicator. After first value 60 Celsius Degree you still warm up the engine until the lifter (pointer) reach 80 C deg. (second mark after 60 C deg.). At this time you let engine running at idle speed and check with your hand the thermostat plastic housing and hose temperature in bottom left side of the engine. Heed of alternator driving belt and ventilator fan !!!
2. If the thermostat is good the hose must be cold until the water temp indicator reach almost 90 C deg.
3. The thermostat opening temperature is 87 C deg.
4. If the hose is already warm the thermostat is out of order.

Important note: Always replace the round thermostat seal, position 7 in the above picture.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but.... Have you tried replacing the battery?

I am assuming you have a Symphony radio in dash... If so, there is something wrong internally and you will need to have a Dealer put a new one in. They can send yours back to the manufactuer who makes the radio (probably panasonic) and you wont have to pay for the core charge, as they will fix yours and re-sell it.

There is an outside temp sensor that is mounted in the front of the car behind the radiator grille. You should see a 1 pin sensor somewhere on the top of the radiator support.

You can replace just the bulb. There is a cover that clips onto the back panel of the headlamp. Take that cover off and pull out the socket that the bulb twists into. Then you can replace just the bulb itself.

Each stereo has its own code that can be reset.
All you have to do is take it to a Eurovox dealer, and he can reset it.
But you can also request it from the maker.

How can I obtain my security code?

Download the Security Code Request form located in the Service & Support section. Fill it out and send it in via fax or email with proof and payment. The serial number and model number of the piece of Eurovox equipment is essential. A new security code card will then be mailed to you and your details will be registered in our database.

Why does Go Technologies charge for supplying a security code?

Security and administrative reasons. We enter your details in our database so if you lose it again you only have to identify yourself and give the serial number and we will give you the security code again, we also send you a new code card.

How do I enter my security code to my Eurovox radio/cassette/CD Unit?

Refer to the owner's manual of your equipment. Turn ignition key to 'Accessories' and a number '1' or code '1' or similar will appear. Press corresponding preset buttons as you read you security code. If you have a 6 digit security code, the display will count the preset buttons pressed. i.e. display will show '1' the '2' then '3' and so on up to '6' regardless of which number is pressed. If the security code is correct, the radio will turn on. If the security code is incorrect, the display will show '2' or 'code 2' or similar. After 3 incorrect attempts, the radio will go into 'lockout mode'.

Why has my radio got horizontal lines on the display and is not responding to any buttons?

The radio has had 3 incorrect security codes entered and is now in lockout mode. For recent model radio's leave 1 hour (some radio's require ignition key to be on accessories). For older model radio's, remove power to radio by either unplugging radio or disconnecting the negative lead on the battery for 1 hour.

My radio will not accept my security code?

(1) This radio may have been replaced and now requires a different security code
(2)The security code you have been supplied is wrong.
(3)This radio has an internal fault. To check if radio works there is a temporary test code '1111' or '111111' can be used for most of Eurovox Radio. This only lasts for approx 3 minutes.

If you have replaced the hazard switch and you are still having issues, the next step to take is to replace the actual turnsignal switch on the column.
