1992 jeep wrangler yj 4.0L, I6, fuel shut off

I am not sure of your question, there is not enough information. However, I had a problem with a diesel Grand Cherokee that appeared to have a fuel shut off problem, it turned out that the header pump was worn out, and it further turned out that the Cherokee had a history of the header pump wearing out. The header is the pump that supplies the injector pump with diesel fuel from the tank, and if this pump goes, not enough fuel is supplied to the injector pump causing the engine to cut out, and having to be bled again. As soon as the engine cools down, the pump appears to be working fine again. Another possibility is that you might have a problem of sorts with your engine. The engine control computer senses the problem and turns the engine to limp mode, which allows the engine to work at a much reduced power output, giving the impression of diminished fuel supply. This allows the driver to get the car to a service agent before further damage is done. Give us some more info to give you a better answer.

It's an electrical fault in the transmission's gear switching. A transmission shop will have to diagnose it, following a guideline called a troubleshooting flow chart. It may be a simple fix, even an electrical connection, but they would know where to start and how to get to it. Get an estimate of the repairs and decide what is best.

How do I check no oil pressure on gauge? The oil pan is full.

First you need to find the sending unit. Some are by the oil filter. Most sending units sink current so by taking the lead off and grounding it you should get a reading on the gauge. This will narrow it down to whether it is the sending unit on the engine or the gauge on the dash. Depending on the car there are a bunch more questions to be asked but this is a general answer.

Why engine hesitates or stalls lightly when running?

Could be a fuel pump going bad or partially clogged fuel filter. It could also be a dirty air filter or some of the few electrical components you can replace in the distributor. You might also have a bad spark plug wire that needs to be replaced. The most expensive fix is the fuel pump/filter as it is located in the gas tank and it has to be dropped to fix it. I would try the cheapest options first. You may also have a bad spark plug and I would try putting in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner as well. Sometimes they get a little gummed up.

How does the electrical connector between the door and the body come apart

It comes apart under the dash. The door wiring runs from under the dash through a rubber boot to each door then the electrical connections are made at each of the door sensors. The rubber boot between the door and body is to keep the wirining harness dry, free of corrosion, and getting pinched between the door and the frame.

Cabin fan fuse

Look at your orders manual. It is either inside down under the dash to the right of where you plug in the OBD. or it will be uner the hood on the passenger side. The owner's manual has them listed by number and location. Make sure you have a flashlight and a blade fuse puller when you go to do it. It's real dark under the dash.

Front axle nut size

Go to Part's Geek, Rock Auto parts, or Auto Parts warehouse online and when you get to the parts selection look under front axle assembly and you should be able to find the stock size you are looking for or you can call the dealer parts office and they'll give you the info and price for a new one. Have done this many times. Works like a charm.

I have a `99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with a sunroof that won't close. It will open, but only close a few inches. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

Hi, as a general point on sunroofs I have known the white grease used on them to go hard after time and cause them to go tight. Flushing the Runners with a good penetrating oil whilst working the sunroof back and forward can help to free them off, sometimes giving the roof a hand will help to get them moving. jon

I have a 1999 jeep grand Cherokee limited edition

this is easy. (are you moving or parked) ill assume stopped. first is the blower working, (seems so) ill guess that no heat in all vent modes, and re-circ, on. next is the engine fully hot, hot means at 180F or more holding (we measure it with a pyro gun) next, are both heater core hoses hot/ at the fire wall? and equal at 180f? yes, good. then the damper is stuck closed i the heater box. no , then there is heater core blockage. (skipping every 2 year flushes are you, sure...) it only takes 2 things hot water ,p[assing through the heater core and air passing through its fins to get hot cab air. just 2.
