gremilins, you have to hate gremlins, it sounds like it could be a couple of different things, 1, there should be an engine block heat sensor in the engine somewhere, it could be if your engine is becoming to warm the sensor could be shutting down the engine, but you should be getting a warning message if that was the case. another possibility is you have a cracked wire somewhere in the wiring system for the ignition and when the wire gets war it expands enough to break the connection and as soon as it cools down it reconnects. But this would only be happening if the engine compartment gets quite warm. I am guessing this problem only happens when you are driving or will it happen if you leave it running on idle for any length of time? However when all is said and done, rather than continue to buy and replace possible parts that may be the problem as you have done so far. Take it to a qualified auto electric repair shop to have them put it on one of their machines to see if it can detect where the problem lies.
