2002 Chrysler Town & Country Lxi , I don't think it is the transmission.. am I wrong?

Does the engine rev up when it will not go forward. Does it feel like the brakes are holding it back? What does it do in reverse? So it acts like the transmission is going into neutral. Has plenty of fluid? Does it smell burnt or is dark in color? What happens when low manually put it into low or second gear?

My trans is stuck in second gear. Is that what

The town and country vans are know for transmission problems and it would not be stuck in 2nd gear if it was in limp mode. Limp mode typically controls the engine. I have seen people do a transmission flush/filter and add lucas to temporary fix the problem. There is also a good chance that the transmission has a solenoid problem preventing it from shifting into any other gears but second. Hope this helps!

Replacing power steering resevoir and filter.

Firstly, I've never heard of a power steering system with a filter in it. I see no reason for said filter. And you never have to flush a power steering system. Any time I add fluid, I never use power steering fluid in a bottle that's labeled to be for that. It's much more expensive than transmission fluid, which is the same fluid. Unless of course these newer vehicles have added some things that really are not needed. Like a power steering fluid filter!!!! There's no such thing. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but you're going to have to prove it to me.

No start 2002 chrysler town and country

Quick check is to push in valve stem at schrader valve on injector rail, but better to measure pressure there with a fuel pressure gage. If pressure islow, it can be the pump or the regulator. You check the regulator by plugging the fuel return line, which prevents the regulator from reducing the pressure from the pump. Do It Yourself Diagnosis and Repair

The Ignition Key assembly has a loose wire at the back. Remove it and fix the wires. The other possibility is that your Ignition Key assembly is faulty or damaged. Sometimes, if the wrong key is inserted, it could cause permanent damage of this kind. These apply to all cars.
