I have a 1991 honda civic dx 1.5L The check engine
If fuel is leaking out, I am not sure what happened but it may be you did not place the injector correctly. As far as the problem with losing power or even shutting down, need to check the distributor. Civics are notorious for distributor problems.
Cutting out at 3500 rpm
Check if the air filter is clogged with oil and dirt. Check the timing, then check that the cam belt has not slipped. Could be plug wires, but this will usually cause rough running as well. Could be low fuel pressure.
Where can i locate emergency fuel shut off switch
There isnt one. no emergency shut off.
If there is a fuel issue, check your main relay (its under your drivers side dash to the left); the sodering points might have been cracked in the accident; as they tend to wear out and crack due to heat and wear anyways.
1991 honda civic dx hatch. d15b2 motor. brother
how does the engine sound while turning over does it sound normal is the timing belt still intact. if the timing belt is still intact and the engine sounds like it don't have any compression replace the plug but before installing new plugs get a qt of oil and pour about 1 or 2 caps full of oin in each cylinder this will help build the compression and hopefully it should start if it does it will smoke a few minutes but will be fine.
Why dose car not start
code p1362 refers to camshaft position sensor (CMP) ---no signal==causes wiring--CMP sensor--ECM programming--ECM
First point -cheap sensors are a waste of time and money as they have to be made with a pre-set range suitable to the ECM in your car. next point --when fitting cam/crank position sensors you have to ensure the correct air gap is maintained . third point ---because it is not set to your CPU program then it is advisable to use a scanner tool to reprogram the CPU to read the sensors fitted. I would advise a change of mechanic as it appears that the advice you are getting is not exactly accurate.
