1991 Honda Civic - Page 9 Questions & Answers
I have a 1991 honda civic hatch with 1.5 engine idles fast cold and hot and ECU flashes twenty times
Hi Jason, I suggest you take the vehicle and have a diagnostic scan carried out. Doing that will pin point the problem area and take out the guess work. I have known occasions when someone has tried to adjust the throttle butterfly, hoping to reduce the idling speed and by doing that have taken the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) out of the correct adjustment, causing abnormal idle speed. Regards John
Why is water dripping from behind the timing
Sounds like your water pump is just starting to leak. Are you sure its water and not coolant. Seem funny But make sure your car just doesn't have water in it instead of coolant. put a white piece of paper under it and let it drip on it to determine the color. Not terribly hard job to do but if your fairly new to repairs might get some help with it.
Turn signal issues

90 civic dies itermittently
There are many things that can cause an engine to die. The first thing you need to do is to find out what went away that caused it to die. Did it lose spark? did it lose fuel? Did the idle air control shut down and cut off the air flow? Is it losing electrical power? If so, which circuits are being affected? Are there any fault codes stored in the onboard engine computer?...lots of variables here. Need lots more information to pinpoint the cause.
Where is the fuel pump?
Hi, It is in the fuel tank, To get at it you have to remove the tank.Be very careful doing that because 1 spark and it will blow up.Have your mechanic do it. He knows.
Glowing manifold
The good thing is no fire. This happens when there is a severe misfire mainly with the ignition system. A blown head gasket cannot make this happen. The ignition fired out of sequence, a jumped timing belt will cause the vehicle timing to ****** so a timing belt is not the issue.Your solution and the fix is get a whole new distributor with a cap and rotor(the rotor internally broked) sparkplug wires new sparkplugs . A plugged catalytic will cause the car to have no power when acclerating , you didnt blow the engine a blown engine cannot cause a glowing manifold. only a good engine can
