No-- they shouldn't leak no matter what you do
Put some oil on the new ones

changing the exhaust system can alter the gas flow and may create problems for the sensors . The HO2s sensor and the O2 sensor may now be operation on the edge of the parameter settings and any exhaust coating on the sensors may be affecting their performance. Run fault codes to check the sensors and sometimes removing them and cleaning them in vinegar to remove the coating will improve the situation. What ever is the problem if it started after the manifold change then that is the area in which to seek answers.

IT is possible that the manufacturer realised a fault existed in the current design and changed to a threadless part that requires a nut either side to position it on the rod . Try something in the area to see if it works Nuts that small can be obtained from an electronic shop such as JAYCAR ---Hobby shop --etc
2003 mercury sable car jerks when you r at low speed
all swap motor or franken Civic.93 honda engine in a Mercury. ?im guessing wrong forum.that jerk is most likely the engine, is misiriingis the CEL glowing driving, and ignoring it>ever tune it up this decade or better every 60k miles.???????
93 Honda Civic dx will not start. new fuel pump igniter, has spark
sorry if you guess and guess wrong. really, must be expensive.ok got spark (and timing is good, timing light test)if test fuel ( use instant start in a spray can) fails, with sparkthen engine is bad, compression is checked, see near 80 not 150+ PSI , the timing belt has slipped. if not changed by the bookthey slip and the engine grenades (or bends valves)this is an interference engine, never ignore the belt.there is an acid test order.1 compression good.2 spark good, and timed3 fueling is last. (if spark plugs dry add fuel, by hand)cant burn fuel with no compression and spark. well with EFI it cant run right with bent valves either.here is Chad running an engine (any) with no gas tankeven his battery is dead. and has external battery. for 12v power.a real trooper.ive done this 1000s of times. in 60 years.his engine only makes 80 psi (old) and still starts.but EFI will never do that not that low. compressionthe cam slips and goes retarded compression drops to near 1/2and the valve timing is so bad, the exh opens late and pollutes the next last intake charge. the card house falls and then the valve bend.take if from me, nostarts are a blessing on any hondamaybe it saved your valves.? do the service on time./

on the HOT side you will get constant power, on the negative side you should get intermitent on-off with cranking the engine which tells me that all that part is working.. jump a spark to ground while cranking and it should jump a quarter inch gap easily with a strong spark.. if not replace the condensor if it has one or the distributor chip (meaning its got a weak spark)..good luck..

cranks but dont start (do not run car with low coolant, if freezed never forget 50% coolant ratio. or boom. cracks in engine.
