I need to know how to properly install my 1996 Honda Accord Non V-tec's timing belt system. It blew out while I was accelerating normally at around 40-45mph.
You didn't post the size of motor so please use the one that is for you:
2.2L (F22A1) ENGINES
Install the timing belt, around the pulleys, in the sequence shown

U GUYS HAVE BEEN GREAT, BUT I WILL ADMIT I HAVEN'T LOCATED THE INTERIOR FUSE BOX FOR THE RADIO TO PLAY, IT GOT BLOWN WHEN A METAL FELL INTO THE CIGARRETTE LIGHTER. IN THE HOOD THERE'S A FUSE BOX AND THE ONE FOR THE RADIO IS WRITTEN ''BACK UP FUSE FOR THE RADIO'' AND IT SEEMS TO BE OKAY. I SUPPOSE THERE IS SUPPOSE TO BE AN INTERIOR ONE AND I HAVE SEARCHED FOR IT EVERYWHERE UNDER THE DASH BOARD... MAYBE ITS JUST NOT THERE OR I WILL HAVE TO DO WITHOUT RADIO! ANYONE GOT THE DIAGRAMS OR MANUEL IN ENGLISH? PLEASE SEND TO [email protected]
The 96 Accord interior fuse box is under the dash, drivers side. Look for the small access panel with a thumb twist on it. Picture below:
Fuse location in box is #1 below:
Good luck.

not working
you need a new speed sensor located on the gearbox with 2 size ten bolts holding it on and a 3 pin connection going into it! heres a pic http://www.hondacivicrepairs.com/views/honda-civic-speed-sensor.JPG

the heater control knob will not turn all the way to either hot (right) or cold (left) so therefore I only get medium warm or medium cold. I assume the knob moves a cable but I cannot see it or remove the panel around the knob,,,, help
Cable is probably kinked or slipped adjustment. There are 2 cables connected to the knob. One move the blend door in the heater box to make the air flow thru the heater core, and the other cable opens a valve in the heater hose (engine compartment) to let the hot engine water into the heater core. Check both cables for kinks and fix and kinks. It is still doesn't work, first disconnect both cables at the blend door and valve and check the door and the valve for proper operation (can you open and close them by hand?--if not, these must be repaired or replaced), then, if good, adjust the cables according to this procedure from autozone.com:

transmission shift gear , engine light is on ..d3 green light blinking
Here is the definition of the code. You may need to have a transmission shop take a look at it.
P0758 HONDA Description
Shift solenoid valve B is turned ON or OFF by the Transmission
Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the park/neutral
position (PNP) switch, vehicle speed and Engine Control Module (ECM) (throttle opening). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position.

I just noticed an oil leak that only occurs while my car is running and causes an oil drip about once a second. I already changed the oil pressure switch to be sure that was not it. While looking at the oil filter housing there is a plug just above the filter between the filter and the engine block. Initially the leak appeared toe be coming from there so I removed cleaned and reinstalled the plug using High Heat thread sealer which did not fix the problem. Subsequently, it seems the leak is coming from near the plug but not actually from the plug. It is very hard to see when I can only use a floor jack right now. I have also installed a new filter with an early oil change and this did not help. Has anyone had a similar issue and or have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any ideas
my car was doing the exact same thing and i spent about 18 hrs total trying to figure out. if you remove the oil filter, you will notice that the "bracket" that the oil filter attaches to is removable. remove the ENTIRE oil filter assembly. there is a bolt almost behind the crank pulley, its tricky to get to but you can get to it with a 1/4 in drive, swivel, and extension, i do believe it was a 10-12 mm socket (MUST BE ^POINT SHORT WELL) the top left bolt on the assembly you will notice that you can not get out. that is fine, take the rest of the bolts out and let the assembly hang from that bolt, BUT the bolt must me loosend all of the way to achive play in it. take a small screw driver and "break" the seal on the assembly. you will notice 2 holes. around those two holes is a single gasket. even the smallest crack will aloow oil to drip. my car was using about a gallon of oil every ten miles, so you can imagine how much oil i when through, replace the gasket. You can not get the rubber gasket ANYWHERE except a honda dealer. replace. put it together and you all set.
BASIC STEPS: RAISE PASSENGER SIDE.
REMOVE TIRE
REMOVE OIL FILTER
REMOVER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE GASKET
AND REPEAT BACKWARDS FOR INSTALLATION

My 1996 Honda accord threw a code for crank shaft sensor last year i refused to fix it, now it throws a code for camshaft sensor and my carmd suggests that I replace the distributor. Will that cover the crankshaft sensor too. And where is both the crankshaft and the camshaft sensor? I want to replace all this myself.
camshaft sensor is in distributor(requires dist. replacement) crankshaft is behind lower timing belt cover
