ok open the operators guide in the glove box, and it tells you.
this FEATURE is called park lock out.
and there is a bypass button on the console,stated in same book.
well in the USA car, you never said what country so....?????
this brake park lock out is on all cars here with A/T.
my M/T has no such thing. manual tranny.
ARE YOU on flat ground? i cant see it.
if no and wheels are against a curb , do as the oper.. guide tells you.
wiggle the steering wheel, to get it unlocked, then off the curb
and the pray the park pawl can unlock inside the tranny
it states , on hills, set the EBrake HARD first the Park LAST
if not the pawl can jam (i have video... ask)
did you lose the book
lets get that first. there are 5 class Civics.
ill guesss at SEDAN and 3 sub classe, DX, etc.
