Steering wheel vibrating really bad all the sudden
you have an issue with a front tire more than likely. or could be the front rotor. I would bet my last breath its' tire or break/rotor related. Maybe even a wheel bearing but it usually doesn't cause vibration in steering wheel.
Locate on car engine cooling fan relay
relays dont always go bad ck fan with jumper wires first and test ligt to see if power when a/c is on a/c overrides engine fan switch if wont work with a/c on then start cks relay shoud be in fuse box underhood also a fan fuse fuse power one side of relay fan sensor signal to open relay to power fan.
2008 legacy air conditioner was blowing cool air but not cold I added one can 134a on low pressure side with motor running ac on high cold now it only blows hot air
I highly recommend that you get it checked by a professional. You may have a restriction in your system, or the system is way overcharged. In either of these cases, the possibility of high pressure causing lines or hoses to burst and possible severe damage to your vehicle, like a destroyed compressor, is very likely. Also, check the can that you added freon from. Many of the small cans of freon sold at the local parts retailers have several ounces of "oil charge" in them. Many times, when these cans are used to fill the system, the system ends up saturated with too much oil, which can also cause dangerously high head pressures, which can result in severe damage to your vehicle. In these cases, the system must be evacuated and flushed out to reduce the amount of oil in the system before it will cool properly.
95 legacy l codes p0100 and p0170
P0100 is a MAF circuit problem, check the connector to the MAF sensor, look for water or signs of corrosion on the connector pins, if no problem is found you may need a new MAF sensor. The P0170 is lean fuel control condition and is related to the MAF problem.
Found a pressurized gas leak under the hood of my car, what could it be?
Hi there are only a few things really it could be, the main fuel lines run down that side of the car so id start by checking where they exit the firewall and go up to the fuel filter. It will either be a loose hose clamp or a split fuel line. Pretty much just check the fuel lines from the firewall to the entry of the engine and you cant go wrong just be careful of fumes around a warm engine
Dealer says we need new head gasket on 2001 Subaru 4cyl.
Evidence of a leaking head gasket would be coolant in the oil, oil in the coolant, or a rough starting, rough running motor.
The head gasket is the "weak link" between the cylinder head and the engine block. Not that it's ineffective, it seals the connection, but also provides a sort of safety valve to protect the head and block from worse damage.
The head has cooling channels as well as oil channels to provide oiling to the valve valvetrain parts in the head and to keep it from overheating.
So I would pull the oil dipstick and check for foaminess in the oil (water or coolant can cause this.
I would also check in the coolant reservoir to see if there's any oily build up.
If it starts hard, it could have coolant in one of the cylinders (fuel compresses, but water/coolant won't compress) So if when you're starting, if it doesn't turn over smoothly, that could be water in the cylinder...
If it's just leaking coolant it's possibly the head gasket too. But it could be a freeze plug on the side of the engine block. Freeze plugs are round metal friction-fit and there's a few in the engine block of most engines. These can leak as well.
