Honda accord 2006 only driver window works

It may be old parts. They get sticky and rusty sitting there and one day usually the windows go down and not up again. Sometimes if all break at once like 3 at once, like in the same day or so, I would say something else is wrong, but you have a 2006.... I have a 2005 with 130K miles from brand new and have to replace all my switches and arms. I do live at the ocean and this all broke there. faster in the rust issues here, just like bicycles in the outdoor carports do here also, unless you bring them inside. Power windows are tricky because the electrical has to be so perfect, and the relay switches seem to be a major short life span issue, and the arms and motor move a heavy load and everything has to be greased well enough for all those years. Without enough juice and well greased components, due to bad electrical connection and age, everything goes sticky, stuck, click, gone. Lot's of people just replace the switches first and the windows work, but these switches are carrying a dirty old load in the window motors.

Honda Accord metal grinding sound, esp when starting car when cold

A timing belt usually makes a loud squealing noise (like a 'shriek/scream') when it is worn or slipping, not a grinding noise. A quick check - before you start the car - is to pour some water onto the inside of the belt where it goes around the pulleys. If there's no noise at start up, you know it is the belt at fault (or the metal pulley/s are worn). There are kits to replace the timing belt (and bearings). Have a look on Ebay: 843results for accord v6 timing belt If the noise happens before the car moves - it obviously can't be your brakes. When backing up the noise may appear louder simply because your head is turned .. If the noise is actually coming from a wheel, it possibly could be the backing plate on the brakes - the thin disk behind the brake may be rubbing on the rotor. However.. a grinding noise ... if it is coming from the front of the engine in the general area of the timing belt be very wary - if a bearing or the belt fails, your engine will be history. Why not give a mobile mechanic a call? Those guys are usually quite good and a lot cheaper than a workshop

Honda accord service b14

Major caveat to joserivera34's answer: For "B4" it depends on if the car has a belt or chain. The Accord V4 has a chain and therefore there is no timing belt replacement. The V6 has a belt.

A/c 2006 Honda accord clutch will not engage

Someone knowledgeable will need to check out the electrical system to see whether the clutch, the relay, the wiring, or the dashboard switch is the cause of the problem. The clutch itself is the most likely cause, with the wiring second. These can be replaced, but very commonly a repair shop will wish to replace the clutch and the compressor both, instead of just the clutch. The cost can be high. ( $500 - $1000 parts & labor) God bless your efforts.

2006 honda accord wont start. nothing happens when

First make sure the shift lever is properly in the park position. Hondas tend to have little problem in that area after a few years.
Second make sure battery terminals are clean and secure. Next you should try jumping the battery. A low battery may produce enough electricity to run the radio, lights, chimes etc but not enough to crank engine.

Replaced battery now I can't get into the navigation or radio. Says I need a pin. I bought car used.

Call your local Honda Dealership and talk to the service department. I think that they can take your VIN# and the model number off of your radio (may require you removing the radio) and then I think that the unlock code can be retrieved. The may also ask you to prove ownership. Hope this helps.

I disconnected battery from 06 honda accord now my display shows error when i try to use it.

some vehicles require you to keep power all the time, so when u changed the battery you should of connected the new one via jump leads before removing old 1, you have lost the memory & it now needs resetting something only a garage can now do, but check internet in case there is a hidden reset you can access when u turn ignition, usually holding down a button till a hidden menu pops up.

Why my car want start?

No, it would not be the alternator. When a vehicle will not start, there are several potential causes and no shortcuts to determining the cause. You will need to perform standard diagnostic procedures to ascertain the failure and, if you do not know how to diagnose the issue, you are better off taking the vehicle to a mechanic for diagnosis.

Engine won't start. Dash lights flash rapidly when key turned.

the battery says 12 volts but may be dropping to 4 or 5 under a load...i would suggest jumpstarting the car and see what happens.the battery should read in the high 12 volts and not less than 9.5 under cranking. the dash lights go out on your car when starting, and the alarm will go off ,and disable the ignition if the voltage is too low in cranking the car because the computer will shut it down and activate the anti theft.....check your battery posts are tight. best of luck
