Consuming too much fuel.....O2 light on

The O2 sensor is reading the exhaust as being too lean and is telling the computer to add more gas to the mix.
The first thing to do is check the exhaust system for leaks between the sensor and the engine. You are looking for small black streaks at joints. With the engine running run your hand close to the pipes and feel for air coming out. Repair any leaks first. Then check the wire harness for the O2 sensor by hand looking for bare or broken wires. Anywhere wires are rubbing against each other or on the body. Tape them up if you find anyand make sure there is no corrosion on the plug- ins.
If this is okay then I would replace the sensor. Hope this helps.

1993 Isuzu rodeo won't start after installing

i have the same problem but i did not replace the engine. my 1993 isuzu rodeo 3.2 liter 2wd is doing the SAME THING. it all started when i bought the car and noticed at night the back door dome light was staying on even with the door shut. i used a bolt to temp. fix it until i could get a switch. after a few weeks i was driving and my car just died. i got a jump start and took it to my garage and charged the batery on a low charge. the next day it started and i drove it just out of town and it just quit. i took the batter home, charged it, and it would start. i noticed the positive cable was extremely coroded. i replaced the cable and after that it wouldnt start at all. it would just turn over and not get a spark. it would crank and not start. i check the fuel pump and filter and it was clicking. i took my altanator out and had it tested and it failed. i tested the spark plugs and NO SPARK. then i replaced the 3 solinoids, and the panel the solinoids sit on with new parts from auto zone. im lost too.

The ligth of check trans is on.sometimes¿?

With the engine at operating temp, check your fluid. If there is no dipstick (as there may not be) by new fluid, drain the old fluid and put new fluid in until it begins to flow out. Quickly put the fill plug back in. Purchase or borrow a repair manual to locate the correct plugs for this if there are more than two. Certain ones are used on some transmission to hold gear housings and such together in the transmission.

Also, make sure any vacuum lines are secure and in good repair. Replace any that are quetionable. If theyr'e dirty (probably are, clean them with a rag and make sure they have no holes or cracks in them.) it may be hard to see if they're bad or not.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

I have a 1993 isuzu

before you do any of this resetting or anything, there are 3 things you need to check for first.
1. does the vehicle have spark ? remove each spark plug wire and test for a spark.
2. does engine have compression ? check each cylinder for proper compression with a tester, should be at least 125 psi. per cylinder.
3. check for fuel, remove each spark plug, is the plug wet ? If the plug is wet, you have fuel, if dry, you have no fuel.

Replacing feul pump holden rodeo 1993

Cutting a hole in metal above fuel pump is way easier than dropping the fuel tank. Avoid sparks though! A shortened oiled hack saw blade on a jig saw may do the trick. Cut three sides and bend panel back, seal back with bondo, liquid nails, puttty two part epoxy, etc.

There is oil in the water, do you think its my oil

It could be the oil cooler if the radiator has gotten a split between the oil cooler and antifreeze compartments.

More likely is that you have a blown head gasket or cracked head or something wrong with the motor.

How do i tell if the timming belt needs to be

Cracks, dryness, & brittle teeth are good factors to replace it. If you have it apart, replace it. No warning signals are given by timing belts, they just go out on average when the milagage nears 70K to 80K
It is advisable to replace the water pump at the same time for the life span of both parts are about the same
