Your really messed up
First ,get an owners manual,if you don't have one already
Then always look up what the bulb or lamp # is,BEFORE you buy them. Looking up fuses and bulbs,is the main reason you ,absolutely need the owners manual.
You also need one, so all these silly people, stop asking what the check lights are for.
How do you replace the brake light in a hyundai
Hello There,
As there are three break lights on the Tiburon (2 sides, 1 centre top) I will post solutions for all of them.
2 side brake lights:
open the hatch, inside on each side of the boot you will find a small carpeted door. take it out and reach through until your hand is directly behind the light cavity. Unscrew the cap to the light cavity and there will be a fastener holding the light bulb firmly in place. to remove fastener push it in and then move it to either left or right depending on which side your changing over, release it and move it out of the way. pull out bulb. to replace repeat these steps but in reverse. Remember it is very important to replace fastener back so it is holding bulb firmly in place
1 centre brake light:
unscrew the base of the light carriage or unclip - depending on make/model. Unclip fastener from bulb. You will then be able to replace the light bulb with ease. Remember it is very important to replace fastener back so it is holding bulb firmly in place.
Hope this helps,
Cheers Buckaroo,
Chris.
WARNING :
Do not touch light bulbs with bare fingers as it inhibits performance and your bulb may not work. Gloves should be worn at all times when dealing with glass.
Ac wont work
It may either be your Blower Motor (Fan) which is located under the passanger side dash footwell or your A/C compressor is not working.
My 2006 hyundai tiburon
Modern cars have so many electronic sensors that it can be maddening trying to figure out what it is.
What you can do is call some of your local auto parts stores, some offer the free use what they call a "Code reader" that will tell you what the check engine light means.
Any decent garage will probably have one, but some places will charge in excess of 100$ just to tell you what's wrong, and then you don't even get the problem fixed and your already out 100 bucks!
Don't be afraid to ask questions, a question is never stupid if YOU don't know the answer.
I recently had the entire dash assembly as well as
Due to tight working space, it can be very difficult to apply the pressure required to connect the many wiring harnesses to the back of the BCM. It is very possible that some of these connectors were not fully connected.
The BCM is the box into which your fuses are plugged. There are a small number of connections on the front of it, but there are many more on the back. Remove the plastic trim from around the BCM, reach in behind it and make sure that every connector is properly connected.
The connectors will lock in place with a hefty 'click' sound when they're all the way in.
The problem could also be caused by other connectors in the dash, including the splice connectors.
2006 Hyundai Tiburon Question!
I live in Northern Ontario and I use my Tiburon as my 'winter beater'. Despite all of the problems with the car, mine starts reasonably well in very cold weather.
Getting your battery checked was a good start. The next step is to check your starter motor:
If the starter motor is failing, then it will just 'click' and not try to start the engine at all. Then, after a few attempts, the starter will suddenly work and start the engine just like normal. If this is the case, then get your starter replaced.
My spedometer isn't working and neither are my
The fuse panel for that stuff is located behind a removable plastic panel, under the dash on the driver's side. The back of the panel has a list of the fuse functions and the size of fuse to use. Hyundai even included spare fuses in the fuse panel. Locate the blown fuse, pull it out using the fuse extractor and replace it with the provided spare.
Be sure to get a new spare fuse in case it happens again.

2006 Tiburon rotor removal (or lack thereof)
With the caliper and pad mount removed, remove the two screws that you have already removed. Spray some penetrating fluid around the hub and the wheel studs. Also spray behind the rotor where it meets the hub face. Let it sit for a few minutes and start hitting it with a hammer. Since your replacing the rotor don't be afraid to take a good swing at the rotor surface. If your saving the rotor take a swing at the rotor hat surface. The only thing to worry about when hitting it with a hammer is to watch the studs and of course don't miss or your knuckles won't forgive you. Light tapping isn't going to cut it, you have to take a solid swing. I've actually broken a rotor in half with a good swing. Didn't cause any damage to anything else but got the job done.
