02 land rover discovery turns over but wont start
OTHER THAN A MECHANICAL PROBLEM THERE ARE 2 THINGS THAT KEEP YOUR CAR FROM RUNNING, 1 No Spark, 2 No fuel. To check fuel open the air intake and squirt a little fuel into the air intake if the car starts or at least fires you probably have a loss of fuel.. The spark problem, You need to find out if the spark plugs are firing.. if they are not firing the car will not start.. THEN YOU MUST FIND OUT WHY THERE IS NO FUEL OR NO SPARK, BUT FIRST Isolate the system THAT IS NOT functioning.
Over heating
Hi. I assume that you already checked the thermostat valve. I believe that you have a beginning of head gasket problem or a small crack somewhere. The best test for head gasket, even being a time consuming test, is to remove all spark plugs, fill up the radiator, put one cylinder at top dead center, which means the cylinder is in explosion position, install a cylinder leak test hose attachment (from a cylinder leak tester that you can purchase a Harbor Freights) and connect a compressor hose. Observe if air bubbles comes from the radiator. Sometimes it takes longer to show up so be patience. I've had an Honda Civic that was taking over 5 minutes to shows bubbles. If it does, your head gasket is beginning to get bad. Good luck.

could it be the AC coming on and off ?? without a drive to hear the noise i have no idea at all ,which is not the answer your after i know you want to know where and how hard to hit something with the hammer to cure it so best advice i can offer is to ask a local mechanic to have a look and post the result so to speak for a possible confirmation
Land Rover Disco II - Windshield Wiper loss
A lot of problems with slow wiper action can be traced to seizing of the pivot bushes at the base of the arms They are subject to water and loose the lubricating qualities if the phosphor bronze material. Try lifting the rubber boot an getting some wd40 /crc penetrant down while moving the arms. To test a fuse use a multi meter and check for continuity between the pins of the fuse . No continuity = blown fuse. Normally the washer motor is on a separate fuse as it requires a lot less current to work
Discovery td5 auto. M & S warning lights come
hi this problem is caused by a geatbox fault , something is causing the fault code to bring on your warning lights , in this mode the gearbox locks up and the tourqe converter takes up the drive , when you drive of it feels like you only have 3 gear , change the oil and filter in the box and make sure you have the correct level of oil in the box , very important , td5 auto 192k
06 equinox eng cut out when warm does not crank over untill cool
Start with the fuel pump. When you get into your car turn the ignition key to the on position but do not start your car.Listen for the fuel
Pump to engage, you will hear a low whine. If you hear the pump engage, that doesn't rule that the fuel pump is fine.It sounds like the pump though.
Where can i find the fuel filter.
There are at least 2 fuel filters. One is inside the gas tank attached to the fuel pump and another on the fuel line under the chassis bolted to it. This one can be changed out. Follow the fuel line from the output under the gas tank until you find a "can" with an input and output tube clamped to it. THat's it! Good luck.
