Intermittent sparks can be hard to find. Check the easy stuff first. Check ALL grounding points in the electrical system, they should all be clean and free of any rust, grease etc. Clean them all and cover with dielectric grease before reconnecting them all. Whats also very common is that rust forms under the spark packs. If they are removalble take one off at a time and check for any rust, clean, lube and reassemble. May solve your problem.

Why has my car blown two ECU's each lasting only 1100-1200 miles?

Electrical spiking is a problem for ECm units. Actions such as not jumpering the battery correctly, arc welding on the vehicle (exhaust pipes) are common causes for ecm failure Another reason for failure is uncontrolled voltage from the alternator or un- rectified ( partial ac ) voltage from the alternator ECM will operate with a voltage of 15.5 v dcmax ( regulation is 14.5-14.8 volts dc and some alternators spike at 16+ volts which will blow an ECM I know it is a long shot but a bench test of the alternator may prove one way or the other the comment about the alternator. rebuilt ECM units done by accredited electronic specialist shops will be like having the motherboard of a computer fixed and will last as long as the components last. test for correct earthing of the ECM as this is spiking if it is loose or dirty. before you spend more money on ecm units I would be doing a lot of talking to accredited auto electricians ( not local mechanics) to get ideas as to why it is happening. Some may have had experience with your problem and be able to set you straight right away.

Why has my car blown two ECU's each lasting only 1100-1200 miles?

I feel your pain never use a junk yard electronic part most collect moisture from doors left open or damaged from an accident. Get a remanufactured one from a good parts store have it flashed and install it yourself just remove hold down clamps and unplug the unit and install the new one insuring a good clean ground. Be careful when charging your battery to remove the cables so you won't fry the computer. It's easy to fry the computer by welding on the exhaust without unhooking the battery cables or even charging the battery with the cables on. Hope this helps been there done this.

I have a 92 Eagle talon. Has Spark and good Compression. No fuel. New pump. Still No start. Pump will not turn on with ignition.

I would also check your fuses, if all your fuses are ok, then I would go back to the fuel pump double check you wiring. Take a multimeter and make sure your getting power to the pump, check to make sure Positive, Negative and Ground wires are in/connected to the correct connection/spot. If none of that works, I can at least help you narrow down your problem area, if you are getting power to the fuel pump - your issue is either with your wiring or the pump is faulty -- If you are not getting power to the fuel pump your issue is back at the fuses boxes or there could possible be something wrong with your ignition (doubt it though) --If your getting power to the pump and your positive that you have is wired correctly, I would take the pump back and try to exchange it, or have them test it. Hope some of that helps!
