2003 Infiniti FX45 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
2003 fx45 is reading muti mis fire. took it to da dealer and they said cylinder 1 and 6 has 55psi and the rest are like 162 or so. they told me i needed another engine but im not believing that becuz
There is not enuf info here, but a 55 psi compared to a 162 psi is quite a difference! That makes me suspicious. My question is when you last had a complete tune up. It's also possible that those two fuel injectors are bad, and the cylinders would also read as bad. I had a mechanic tell me the engine was bad on my car and then found two loose spark plug wires in the back of the engine. I never rely on one mechanic's opinion. Even 3 mechanics could say 3 different things. If you go to another mechanic, do not mention seeing a previouis mechanic!!! That upsets them as they "back each other up." I am lucky to have found an honest mechanic that doesnt try to cheat me, but then again I have learned a lot about cars in order to protect myself. It sounds like you might be suspicious also. Good idea. Some of these guys are only in it for the money so they try to take advantage of people. Get another opinion.[also, check your spark plug wires, lol] I'm not an expert. these are just some ideas.
How to install a read wiper blade on a FX45 2003
Well, there is a clip in the middle of the factory blade that you press while sliding the blade to the left which will remove it. If you can't remove the blade, or if you absolutely must, you can completely remove the arm by popping off the cover at the base and loosening the nut that secures it to the motor shaft. You should be able to pop the cover off with a small flat screwdriver and the nut will more than likely be a 10 mm.
Have you ever heard of
It's not uncommon for the timing belt to break or "come off the guide" with that many miles on the vehicle. Unfortunately if the engine was running when this happened it may have caused severe damage as in a bent valve or worse yet a hole in the top of a piston from a valve hitting it.
Oil change
locate the oil pan. on it will be a bolt that ull need to undo witha wrench or socket. have a drain pan under and try not to drop the bolt in to the pan cause the oil should come out pretty fast. while thats draining i like to pull the cap off for the oil filler on the top of the engine.
once that is done draining if u are to replace the oil filter which i always do every oil change. locate it. and remove it also with the drain bucket underneath. because it will be full of oil., before putting a new oil filter in take one of the new quarts crack it open and pour a small amount into the cap. take ur finger and stick it in it and lube the rubber ring on the new filter. helps seal and prevent it from seizing. once that is in. put the drain plug back in tighten it down and fill up the oil to the specs.
My 2001 white infiniti Qx4 is smoking heavily
What colour is the smoke? The easiest way to check this is on first start when the engine is cold. This can give clues as to where the problem could be. is the vehicle doing anything else different?
A blue exhaust smoke is commonly oil getting into the cylinders. White smoke suggests coolant getting into the cylinders. Black smoke is the engine running too rich. Blue or white smoke can often mean a blown head gasket. On a 2001 engine that could the most likely reason.
