Hi there:Pull the codes to get started. Normla process is when the slip light will flash on and then go off. TCS is your Traction Control System. It is normal for it to go off If the rear wheels are slipping. You may have worn tires or you are driving on ice or snow. Are you on a slippery surface when this happens? You can always shut the system down by pressing the TCS off button in the center console. I'd check out the battery's charge status, the battery terminal connections, and then the alternator. You can have both tested for free at any Autozone. I doubt it's your key causing the problem.

You probably have something draining the battery, such as a glove box or trunk light that is not turning off, or something else that is drawing current. To test for a current draw, you can install a test light or current meter in series with the positive battery cable then remove fuses one at a time to see which circuit causes the current draw to decrease noticeably.

Most automatics have a lock on the transmission selector.
